Hard Hat Award (Game #3, vs. Chico)
Stiller WR Antonio Brown and RB Jon Dwyer are the co-winners of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.
Due to lethargic, softee play the first 2 weeks of the season, The Committee hadn’t given out The Hat to anyone until this week.
Brownie led all Stiller receivers with 9 grabs for 196 yards, including two clutch, highlite reel TD grabs to keep the Stillers in the game when all else looked lost. That is Hard Hat football.
Dwyer came off the bench and had 3 clutch blitz pickups, including both of Brown’s TD pass plays. Had Dwyer played soft and not picked up those blitzes, neither Brown TD is possible.
Kudos to Brown and Dywer for winning the Hard Hat Award. Wear the Hard Hat proudly, gents !
