browns - LeCharles Bentley released
I just read this on rotoworld. Don't see any stories anywhere else yet.
Re: browns - LeCharles Bentley released
I don't know...
He collects 2 years on IR and then when it's time to play he pretty much says,"Screw you guys, I'm goin' home."
I really think he couldbe a great player for someone in the future, and he would look great in our line up, but I really don't see it happening

Sign him. I'm serious, too.
We have Ben, Hines, Santonio, Heath, Willie, and Mendenhall... and no one to block for them. A healthy LeCharles Bentley pushes Steelers from probable Wild Card team to Super Bowl contender.

bentley or bust then??
what a joke. bentley hasnt played in two years all because of his knees bothering him. the only reason he was let go was because he wants to go and start somewhere. if the browns think that rex hadnot is better, he is not worth signing; apparently they did not think to even place him into consideration with the starters.

Starks for RT in 2008.
Max Starks- 17.5 sacks in 4 seasons.
Willie Colon- 12.25 sacks in 1 season.
You do the math. Now, who do you want starting at RT??

Re: PFT this am
Bentley's release was a "mutual decision"; CLE didn't want him and Bentley didn't want
to play in Tartarus.

the back story on bentley is he was running 7 to 8 second forties in practice and couldnt finish one practice. Halfway through he was toast. He initiated a mutual walking away.

Wasn't Chubby Checker just the other day praising his commitment? Telling the media they were looking forward to seeing him in the line up...
We do not need a center. Hartwig will be fine. LeCharles, in my opinion, would be a great back-up and somehow I think he will want a starting job.
He did say in an interview on the NFL channel that he feels like he is ready to play.

You are so full of shit. This "back story" is not a story at all. It is something that was posted on FanNation and was not backed up by any source.

I'm on this bandwagon...
It would be wise for the Steelers to go after him, and wise for him to show us what he's got.
He and this team could just be a perfect fit for each other...
...and, I think he could even win the starting spot, especially if Mahan is still practicing with the first team and not Hartwig...
Wha make you tink I won cutchu, mang?!?

no way. He wasn't even able to get through practices in the spring and running 40's in the 8 second range. No way.
