You are losing it- the post was not edited- if it was, it would SAY it was edited.

I'll prove it- I'll post this, then edit it.

I have now changed this post.

OK- well it doesn't show edits (the old board did), but I didn't edit it.

And yes- it WAS an option route.

Do you even know what an option route is?

Not anymore- look at it again.

At any rate, you have lost the argument, and are now throwing sand in an attempt to divert the argument.

The Steelers run option routes.

All NFL teams run option routes.

I agree with you that Ben makes mistakes, but in your zeal to try and make him look worse than it is, you fucked up.

Kordell was a BUM and processed information SLOW but we went 13-3 and he made the Pro Bowl in 01- SUBSTANTIATION THAT WE HAVE A GOOD TEAM.

How does the quality of the Steelers roster in 2001 prove we have a good team in 2008? The only Steelers from that team who are still on the roster are Casey Hampton (injured most of this year), Aaron Smith, Marvel Smith, Hines Ward, and Deshea Townsend.

The only thing you proved is that a sub-par starting quarterback playing on a very good team can have a great season (don't forget, for all Kordell's problems he played spectacularly that year) and finish with 13+ wins. Not that this current Steelers roster is superb.

My point is the Steeler have had a good team since 94 for the most part.

Scalaid is now frantically trying to figure out how he can change the argument to avoid admitting he fucked up on the option routes argument.

Again, SHOW me that they run option routes. I STILL maintain Ben threw a bad pass. Thats what I have said ALL ALONG. What diversion OH DESPERATE ONE. You can tell when you have "JUICE". You know the tell sign? THE SHEER DESPERATION ONE EXUDES WHEN THEY FEEL YOUR WRONG. For the record. I am wrong over 100 times a day. Perfection is for God and I am not Him. So if you ever find me wrong, thats only substantiation that I am NOT God. Just so we are clear.

Scalaid you are wrong on several things:

-The Steelers run option routes, you said they don't. You used this argument to claim that Ben was an inferior QB b/c, mentally, he couldn't handle option routes. Verified and wrong.
-The Steelers pass the ball less now than they did in the Kordell Stewart/Tommy Maddox era. Took me 32 seconds to verify that.
-He never said Hines messed up. He put the word in quotation marks as to say that the receiver and QB were not on the same page.
-He never edited the post you claimed he edited. Otherwise the post would have an automatic notification that says "Last edited by [Name] on (Date) (time), edited (#) time(s) in total."

4 times wrong, twice on Ben. Let me go back and I'll probably find more mistakes

What revisionist history. Kordell had a great season in '01, made one of the great passes in Steeler history against the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday night to Bobby Shaw for 90 yards taking a big hit from Ray Lewis, no less, as he released the ball. Kordell was a worthy Pro Bowl selection.
266-442 60.2% 3109 yds. 14-11 td-int 7.0 ypa 81.7 QB Rating (ran a lot in the red zone) 96 rushes 537 yards 5.6 ypc 5 touchdowns

Obviously a very good team around him helped, but Kordell was good that year.

And please, stop calling people sir. It is obnoxious and patronizing

Mere assertions that other teams run option routes and the Steelers do not is not proof either.

Stop passing the burden of proof. You make grandiose assertions and when people post about a Hines Ward route where Ben throws to the wrong spot and the TV clip is of grimacing and motioning as though he wanted Hines to break the way (tell tale signs of two players making different reads on an option route) you claim that evidence is not enough. You have provided zero evidence that is not your subjective opinion.

Please SHOW ME the afforementioned clip sir. Merely asserting and my commenting on it is not proof sir. Lastly, Kordell is a bum, he is the benificiary of a good team. Again.

In regards to the option routes. I could be wrong. Wont be the 1st time OR the last. Again, I am wrong over 100 times a day. Perfection is for God and I am not Him. So if you ever find me wrong, thats only substantiation that I am NOT God. Just so we are clear.

The NFL has ownership of the clips, so I cannot go to YouTube to find them. This is a message board so you just have to take us at our word. And I know I saw Ward Ben throw to a different spot than Ward was running then motioned as though he wanted him to go the other way.

You are the one who claimed we don't run option routes and other teams do as part of your Eli>Ben argument. Therefore, it is incumbent upon you to show me that the Steelers do not run option routes and other teams (namely the Giants and Cardinals b/c of Whiz) use them. And then to show me how the Steelers do not run them b/c Ben cannot process that much at one time.
