Did we lose to the Titans in the playoffs with Maddox as the qb?? Remember when the cb ran into the kicker? Dwayne Washington. Are you guys sure your Steeler fans?

Tammy Maddox went from selling insurance to a star qb for the Steelers. SUBSTANTIATION WE ARE A GOOD TEAM
Kordell was a BUM and processed information SLOW but we went 13-3 and he made the Pro Bowl in 01- SUBSTANTIATION THAT WE HAVE A GOOD TEAM.
Tammy gets hurt vs the Ravens and Ben comes in as a rookie and goes 15-1-SUBSTANTIATION THAT WE HAVE A GOOD TEAM.
How are the Pats doing without their starter? How bout the Cowboys?
The Steelers have a good team and if Ben goes down we will still be good with Byron at qb. Why-BECAUSE WE HAVEA GOOD TEAM. Thats my point

Through 6 games this season Ben has thrown 152 times, or an average of 25/game. That makes him on pace to have 405 for the season, which is less than last year and considerably less than the Maddox experiment.

So, care to retract your statement about throwing more now?

Scalaid:

The Steelers run plenty of option routes.

I have no idea where you got it in your head that they don't.

Wayne and Harrison are products of Peyton mannings greatness, they would be average anywhere else. What wr has Ben made better? We throw more NOW than we did when Kordell played. How does Kordell the BUM, throw 100 passes to Hines and Ben cant? How does Kordell go 13-3 and Ben CANT? Answer that please sir.

I guess I need to look at the "variables" in what you're "really trying to say", right?

You are correct when Neil Odonnell and Kordell played (Mullarky)
If they do now, then please show me.

They do it every week- Ward runs a lot of them.

I can only "show" you by the times when they've "messed them up"...like just last week where Ben threw the ball outside after Hines had cut in.

I can't show you the times they've worked because I don't have a magic TV that lets me show you all the possibilities happening at the same time.

But the Steelers run them...they've never stopped running them.

As a matter of fact, when Ben was struggling post-accident in 2006, many people (me included) suggested that we temporarily STOP running them to let Ben get back in his groove by throwing to a spot.

Most NFL teams run option routes...the defense are too good to let you become TOO predictable.

I called Kordell a bum (how come I didnt include Ben in that statement sir?). If you take away most of Bens sacks (i.e if he gets rid of the Ball quick he would have more completions and less sacks). Bens lack of urgency and lack of killer instinct affects my team. I cite the (Jaguar playoff game-3ints and 1 fumble). Ben has the GOODS. But one of his flaws is that he doesnt step on the gas the whole game, he leaves points on the field. And that sir is not a lie its the TRUTH.

Hines messed up? What method do you use to discern who messed up? The safety was on the outside hines went inside as he should and Ben threw a bad pass as the announcer verified. I forgot. Ben makes NO mistakes. If something goes wrong its either Tomlin/Arians and or Hines fault. Forgive me for forgetting. :celebrate:

Do you know how to read?

Please look at my post and show me where I said Hines messed the play up.

Hint- you won't find it, unless Hines has changed his name to "They've".
