Re: New Article: Power Rankings (week 6)
A couple teams that are impressing early on are the dolphins and falcons and should be ranked higher. Mike Smith and Thomas Dimitrov have cleaned house of thugs like DeAngelo Hall and Rod Coleman, drafted very well, and made great signing in Mike turner. Sporano is doing it with the "wildcat" gimmick but what the national pudits are missing is that the players are rejuevinated by it and having fun playing football. McLovin misses the days of Kordell, Randle El, and Hines running gadget plays like that. How would Moore, Willie, or Hines look running a few plays from the "wildcat?"

With Bruce around we'll never see it. I'm just waiting on a halfback pass and perhaps a flea flicker. Anything else is beyond our imagination.
Defenses have taken oven and more gadget plans will be in the play books of teams headed to the playoffs. Antione RL. ran a reverse last week and threw for a TD vs. Philly. Our reserve OB's need to be put into an offensive series.
Bungals turned the game around last week with an on sides kick-off recovery.

The NFL as a whole needs to run more gimmick plays. Seems that every team runs the same plays week after week. The only way to distinguish one team from the next is their uniforms. Why not use Dixon on couple plays the way Kordell was used? Why not let Hines or Willie run some "wildcat" on first down? Give opposing defenses something to think about rather than let them line up and jailbreak blitz Ben the whole game.

Deeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzznutzzzzzzzzzzzz
He is high on crack. Pgh is no way the 3rd best team in league. That is whack. They are tied with a bunch of teams around 6th or so.
1.New York Giants 4-0 Powered by the running game with Jacobs, Ward and Bradshaw. Especially Jacobs. Didn't miss Burress with Hixon and Moss picking up the slack.
2.Tennessee Titans 5-0 Giving up a league low 11.2 points per game.
3.Pittsburgh Steelers 4-1 Roethlisberger carried them on his back to end a 4 game losing streak against the Jaguars. Get a much needed bye after physical back-to-back-to-back games against the Eagles, Ravens and Jags.
4.Washington Redskins 4-1 Impressive in consecutive road division wins. Next 3 opponents (Rams, Browns, Lions) have combined for 1 win.
5.Dallas Cowboys 4-1 Had trouble putting away the Bengals. A bad sign. Owens continued to pout. A worse sign.
6.Carolina Panthers 4-1 Healthy Delhomme and rejuvinated Peppers are making all the difference.
7.New England Patriots 3-1 Cassel showed he could get the ball downfield to Moss. A good sign.
8.Denver Broncos 4-1 Run defense rebounded at home against the Bucs after being shredded by LJ and the Chiefs in Arrowhead.
9.Buffalo Bills 4-1 Ambushed after traveling cross country. Losing Edwards in the first quarter to a concussion didn't help. At least he has the bye week to recover.
