Competition for div champ - not who we thought but....
....one still exists.
The Browns got all the hype, and most of us thought they would be the closest thing to competition for the div. title (but most of us didn't think they were the favorite, as did 1/2 the media). That said, my friends who are Browns fans tell me the team has no leadership at all, no focus, no drive and it a mess under Crennel. They are dead. Stick a fork in them.
However, the Ravens - that is the legit threat to win the div. over Pgh. That rookie QB isn't playing that much like a rookie (not stellar, but not bad). He sure kept them in the game vs. Pgh in the frenzy of a national, night game.
I think Balt. is a legit threat to win the div. Hopefully, they will lose to TN this week, but it's not a given. Their D is legit bad ass. They hit like rabid dogs, and - hate to say it - they out intimidated Pgh as far as D goes.
And Ray Lewis had an impressive showing. Anytime you bust bones on a rookie hot shot to welcome him to the NFL, and end his season, with one blow, you still got mad skills and are a force to he dealt with.

The fact that this topic comes up just shows what a disgrace the Arians offense is. Let's call Baltimore what they really are: a one dimensional team...great defense, very below average offense. They have always relied on defense and special teams to make up for such a lousy offense.
Most of us agree that the Steelers have a top 5 defense (current injuries aside). They should have a much more dynamic, high-scoring offense given the weaponry they have (current injuries aside). The Steelers should be able to put up 25 to 30 points per game every game against most any team. I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Bruce Arians. It is shitty beyond belief that we have to even mention the Ravens as a threat to be the division champ.

I hate the Ravens but give then their due, they have ALWAYS had a bad offense but the defense keeps them in it. Do you know how many high powered offenses the ravens d kept under wraps? I guess Arians coached for all of those teams too! WOW SOME OF THES BLOGGERS ARE.............

Bengals W
Browns W
At Steelers L
Currently 2-1
Titans L but not sure.
at Colts L Same as above
at Dolphins W
Raiders W
at Browns W
at Texans W This makes them 6-3 at this point.
at Giants L
Eagles L
at Bengals W
Redskins L
Steelers L
at Cowboys L
Jaguars W That’s 8-8, best case give them Titans or Colts, and the Cowboys who could be coasting since 16-0 is out. Then 10-6.
Again going 6-0 in the division will be critical for the Steelers.

HIV aka AIDS sore, you claim Pgh is going to win every single week, no matter who they play. You have zero street cred. You are a known BS-er. You are prooven wrong endless times over.

Based on who and where we play, how manys times will we be underdogs? We will lose some, but we have a shot at every game on the schedule if we get healthy. New England on the road? QB and age issues. They'll be favored, but we will have a good shot. Dallas at home? We'll be favored. Giants at home? We'll be favored. At the Skins. They'll probably be favored, but they are beatable. The suddenly beatable Bolts at home? We'll be favored. At the Titans? They'll be favored, but they don't scare anyone on offense. Tough game, but winable. So, yes, if we can get healthy and kick Arians in the ass I am optomistic as well.
