Why don't you have Lefty in your "Steeler Nation" thingie?? If you hate Ben so much, you should be true to your beliefs. Another reason why I think you're a fraud.

I dont HATE Ben. I merely want him to play up to his potential. The reason the Steelers have been held back in recent years is due to inferior play from the qb position under pressure. If you push your kids and try to make them better do you hate them? Some of you guys are ignorant and very sensitive. Its called constructive criticism. Isnt ironic that Wisenhunt said the same thing, also Cowher. The Qb has to make sound decision under pressure and when they cant the team will suffer. Again, you cant show me where I said Byron should be the starter, so I suggest you either substantiate your claims or dont engage in discourse with me sir. In regards to you thinking I'm a fraud, who cares what you think. You guys choose to criticise Arians/Tomlin and I choose to critique the one who is actually on the field.

This post was not about starting Leftwich ahead of Ben. Not at all.

It was simply asking people why it seemed Lefty moved the team when Ben did not. And perhaps the best answer (even thought it didn't exactly answer the question) was that both moved the team in their first series.

My own thought is that Ben was so badly beaten up that he lost his effectivness in the second half. His timing was shot, his judgement was compromised. They beat the hell out of him, and by the end of the game, either Leftwich or Dixon would have been a better choice. Ben was like a boxer hanging on. He was punched out, beaten up, and no longer dangerous. He didn't quit any more than JFK quit in November, 1963. Both were murdered.

Also, Leftwich was exclusviely in the shotgun, physically sharper, and looking for the hot reads.
