that was a real ballsy call. I would have gone for 3 and the o.t. option myself.

Makes up for my earlier rage - 2nd quarter Bell runs 3 straight plays for 50 yards - so what do they do when he is gassed in 95 degree heat -= and the entire fooking charger defensive squad is in the box? Why - they run Bell for a 3 yard loss of course

Horrible call, Tomlin almost blows it. Bell saves his ass.

I forgot what it feels like to pull for a team that finally won a game...

Another trademark Hideously UGLY Tomlin win! But I'll take it. Cam Heyward played a Beast of a game, totally deserving of a Hard Hat!!!

Did no one see the 21 seconds run off the clock after San Diego kicked off to us? 2:59 on the clock after the field goal. 2:38 when we start our drive after no kick return. I am still livid.

-Defense played really well. Not perfect, but busted their asses with what they had shorthanded, especially after that 1st Chargers easy as Pie TD drive.
-Vick was horrid for 80% of the game, and was near excellent the last 2 drives. However, I still think he is washed up and his best days are behind him. Hopefully the rumors of Ben being ready early are true. I wouldn't bet on him doing this to the Cards and Chiefs the next 2 weeks.
-That was a really dumb call with Bell to win the game that worked. Sometimes just because a play works don't mean it was the right call, and you succeed just to spite yourself as was the case here. But it did work, so I'm not going to complain too much.

I did not see that until they pointed it out in the post game. fucked up.
What I DID see is that when Heath hit the ground after the helmet to helmet hit that drew a flag, there were 8 seconds left on the clock. By the time the refs got it sorted out and called the flag and gave Pitt the 1st down and stopped the clock, there was 5 seconds on the clock. Any coach worth a DAMN is harassing the refs for that 3 seconds back at that point. The play ended when Miller hit the ground and the defensive foul stopped the clock. Period. The only reason three seconds ran off is because the game clock was still running, waiting for a timeout or a call by the zebras. Once it got sorted out it's on Tomlin to set that straight. Even with a timeout left (like we had) that three seconds very well could have been the difference between losing the game and getting a chance to call a timeout if we didn't get in the end-zone and kick a game tying chip shot.
Bell's a stud and a win's a win but its another Tomlin brain fart that will be lost in the shuffle because he got bailed out. Check the replay. Clearly 8 seconds left with Miller on the ground. If I saw it live as a casual fan, how the fuck does he miss that? With 8 seconds left, the ball on the 1, and a timeout in your pocket, you can run ANYTHING. 5 seconds (as we saw) is barely enough time to run up the middle.
