Steelers' real MVP

Postby SoCal Stiller » Sat Dec 27, 2014 11:50 am

If Bell is the MVP on the roster, then Munchak is the MVP on the coaching staff. Most of us assumed many of our O-linemen were busts, but are they? I believe this unit as a whole is the most improved area of the team. When Munch was acquired, I had high hopes of what was to come. I figured they would improve but they have actually exceeded my expectations. I believe much of the success enjoyed by Ben, Bell, and Brown can be directly attributed to what Munchak has done with the guys up front.

Amen to that, SoCal. I, too, was excited about the hire in the offseason, considering all the turmoil we have experienced over the last few years at OL. Munchak has certainly lived up to expectations, if not exceeded them. Ben's sacks are down and his INT's are WAY down, both a direct result of not being pressured as much. Add to that the time the WR's (especially AB) are getting to run routes and the holes being provided for Bell, and this OL has kicked ass.

Who's laughin' now, O-line?!?

Not sure this applies after that playoff performance.
