Steelers #5(b) pick Vanderbilt OT Wesley Johnson
With the 172nd overall pick, the Steelers drafted Vanderbilt OT Wesley Johnson

Johnson has played OT, G and C.
so will be a nice swing player.'
biggest gripe is that he is not that strong and a bit light at 297

he's been evaluated by scouts at both OT and C.
rep for being a high character kid.

I'll be interested to read what steelers brass has to say about him.
Frankly, I don't think he'll ever be a guy who is the planned starter for the steelers, but he could be quality depth at several positions.
Haven's board had him as a 6th round Center, and most the rags had him as a 5th round OT.
perhaps a jack of all trades, mast of none.
any disappointment I have isn't with him or the pick, it just with the steelers walking away from another draft without a franchise LT.

This is another pick that I actually liked a lot! He is an undersized T, so they worked him out as at Center. Pouncey has yet to finish an entire season. This guy has good feet and hands. He should be a serviceable backup at both G and C, filling in as the eventual starting C when Pouncey's vagina gets sprained somewhere around week 9.
