Steeler bars in Manhattan
Hello,
I'm going to be in NYC this weekend and I need a good place to watch the Clowns in a friendly environment where a young man can wear his Greg Lloyd jersey unfettered. Can someone please give me a location and website. Then I'm off to watch the White Sox kick some yankee ass in the final series at Yankee Stadium...
Thanks!

Scruffy Duffy's on 8th betweem 46th and 47th is also a good crowd. A little rowdy, but always fun.
I was also a regular at Blondie's and Resevoir and can speak highly of both.

Did Blondie's used to be Boomer's? Seems like the same part of town.
Btw, the Blondie's website claims they are the home of the Browns Backers Club.
Is Scruffy's still open?

Re: Steeler bars in Manhattan
It looks like scruffy's is closed. News to me. I hadn't been there in a few years. Apologies.
Blondie's East is a bit of a Browns Bar, but the one on the Westside is definitely a Steeler Bar. It's a good spot. They even pour a spooky "Steeler Shot" when the steelers win sometimes. Avoid it.
The Dublin House across the street also pours the best Guinness in the city.
I'd go to either Resevoir or Blondie's, depending on where you are staying.

Resevoir is my go-to bar on Sundays in the city. Totally packed and they (usually) have the audio from the game going on the speakers. The local Meetup group meets at Public House in midtown, decent drink deal there but the place is seriously yuppied out.
