Steelers Sign P Zoltan Mesko; Release Butler
The Steelers on Monday signed Punter Zoltan Mesko, and released incumbent P Drew Butler.
In 3 years with The Patriots, Mesko avg. a hair over 44 yards per punt.
See ya, Drew. We hardly knew thee....

I'm good with this. Butler was inconsistent at best, lacked the ability to get the ball down inside the 10, and his hang time was for shit. Zoltan is a known commodity and a upgrade in hang time and consistency. STC Danny Smith emphasizes Hang time in order to help coverage units. That being said, I was thoroughly unimpressed in 4 preseason games with any facet of his Special Teams units.

If nothing else, dude's got a cool first name.
In the end, who gives a shit? He's the punter! I'm more worried about the guys that are "supposed" to tackle!!!

Zoltan... Yeah, big deal. The Special Teams will still suck.
