Any Stillers.com readers in the Pittsburgh area...help!

Postby ashpitt08 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 11:44 am

To Stillers.com members,

My brother & I have been longtime followers of this site which is why I'm asking for assistance here...directly from you. My brother John Davis passed away last year from Acute Myeloid Leukemia; he was 45. If you have siblings you are close with I'm sure you can imagine my anguish...... we were best friends and hardcore Steeler fans......I would like to honor my brother by spreading some of his ashes on Heinz field and I have no idea how to make this happen or even if the organization would allow such a thing. Any advice and/or assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, ashpitt08 Go Stillers!! My e-mail address is ashpitt08@gmail.com

Google The Pittsburgh Steelers official webpage. At the bottom of the page should say "Contact" Usually that will put you in touch with someone from The Steelers Organization, be it an e-mail address or a phone number. Good luck, and i'm very sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss ashpit. I lost my brother at age 50 a few months ago.

What about The practice facility at Latrobe as a backup plan in case Heinz field doesn't work out?

I remember reading an aside in the Trib.com that they did let a widow out on the field with no fanfare to quickly drop some ashes and run back off during a home game a couple of years ago. It is worth a shot.
