You can't argue with the first round pick whatsoever. Read somewhere the Adams only rep'd 19 at the Combine. OK he was smoking weed in the days leading up to the combine, but that is a weak assed effort and if he really is that weak, he will be in trouble. That is pretty much QB strength, or punter! Hopefully that was just him being his jagoff self and not how strong he really is. Defense is still worrisome. I do see the idea that the Spence kid is maybe the prototype of the future LB with the NFL being a passing league. But the defense was getting to be a problem by the end of the year with Ike Taylor being the latest worry with Tebow throwing all over him.

In the Denver playoff game, you need to keep in mind that we had no defensive line (injuries). We were playing guys we did not expect to be playing and overcompensated for their foibles by going with an all-out commitment to stop the run. This set up the pass plays with bad results for us. However, go back and watch Carnell Lake years ago against the Pats when Curtis Martin ran right by him for a 90 yard TD or Woodson when a WR ran by him for an easy deep catch. One game -- or one play --does not mean guys cannot play anymore. Everyone gets beat here and there.

On a brighter note, I believe they really think the young DBs can play, particularly the guy from Citadel. So hopefully they are right.
