We fupped uck
When Ben got his ankle sprain, he shoulda been yanked and rested. So what if we then lost to the Browns twice. We lost to SF anyway and Charlie beat the Rams. We would have been 10-6 and seeded in the exact same position.
But Ben would have been healthy (likely) if a bit rusty.
We then wouldn't have taken the Donco's so lightly. And the Pats showed today they are an eminently beatable team. We could have been going to the Super Bowl.
20:20 hindsight.

Tomlin has been around long enough to exhibit certain patterns of behavior and unfortunately he's choosing the usual NFL ultra conservative route. Despite his brave talk of standards for every man on the roster in reality he will substitute only when his hand is forced.
That said, even with a healthy Ben this year's team had no chance.

How lucky is Tom Brady??
When Ravens kicker Bill Cundiff lined up for the game tying FG at the end of regulation, I told my friends he was going to miss this FG. One of the guys, a Ravens fan, said "This guy is automatic from 32 yds. Like an extra point"...... I said "But Tom Brady is the opposing QB..... He gets this kind of luck." Eyes rolled in the room......... Then Cundiff cheeses the FG.......... (In retrospect, I regret not betting $100 on that FG attempt.)
The later game, the Giants line up for a 31 yd FG to win the game. (After the stupid delay-of-game penalty.) I said, "Now this FG will be good." One of the guys said, "Yeah, Brady is not the opposing QB.".......... Kick good. Giants to the SB...........
All I have to say is I hope the Giants clobber this clown...........

Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

I don't worry about what the Stillers would have done had they been there...... Because they weren't. And besides, with our DBs (especially Ike Taylor), I'm certain Tom Brady would have had a much better game. (The Pats won in spite of him, not because of him.) And Bruce Arians would have still run the offense. The Ravens were a better team, and should have been in that AFCC game. The fact they lost today doesn't change that.

Not really hindsight when alot of us, icluding you, Pommah, were saying it before the lambs game. Below is a post I put up aftert the Whiners' loss.
"I had the distinct misfortune of being present at Candle-dick for the debacle monday night, and I walked out saying to my buddy, "Rest EVERYBODY from here on out." We obviously have to go on the road for three games now to even get back to the SB, and there is NO WAY we do that without Ben being 110%. His lack of mobility was disgusting, and the main reason for the number of sacks he took, which included a fumble at our own 20 or so. Moreover, the two first half picks he threw (the third one was a desperation pass in the 4Q so I'll let him somewhat off the hook) were a direct result of his not being able to follow through properly on his left foot so the ball sailed high (in my opinion). One was tipped and the other was just off line. The touch passes he had no problem with. When he had to fire it into a tight window (which he will most definitely have to do in the playoffs) the ball sailed and resulted in tipped balls, incompletes and INT's. Rest him. Rest Pouncey. Rest Pola. Rest the whole goddamn O-line. We looked old and injured and inept Monday and that ain't gonna cut it on the road in the playoffs."
