Mill, is there any way to break out Big Lamar's sacks when he is playing next to Smith versus when he is playing beside Hood? I don't see hood anywhere near as good as Smith and Woodley would benefit from Smith's play--especially since Smith was a reliable backside tackler. It was too much money to spend on Woodely for sure--you are right about the titty jousting because he doesn't have enough strength to bull rush people--he does not have a big motor either to keep driving the tackle back. Contrast what he does with other better pass rushers--look at that Watt kid this weekend or even better--Smith for the 49ers. Those guys collapse pockets. Big LaMarr does not.

I stand corrected, apparently there is someone who hasn't had enough. Dude, in case you haven't noticed, THE SEASON IS OVER! Maybe you would have the Mill break down how Woodley could have done a better job organizing his closet, mowing the lawn, and fully itemizing his deductibles on his tax return. That will give you both something to do in the off season!

Lenny, I'll be doing a season-in-review WoodenDong Report, so you'll be able to see hoiw the Big He-Man did each game. I doubt it will reveal much. You could put this stiff next to NY's Tuck, and LaMarr would still be a 1-trick, loafing oaf.

Lenny, I don't believe it really makes much difference in the 3-4 scheme who Wood has at DE. As opposed to the 4-3, the OLB in the 3-4 is basically left to his own devices in rushing the QB. Because of more gap control responsibilities, there are fewer stunts run out of the 3-4, and the OLB either loops a speed rush around the tackle orTE, or he bull rushes the blocker back to the QB. Woodley is average at both moves, but not great at either.
This points out one of the premises of my article: the Stillers lack speed on D. When he was drafted in the 2nd round, that is the niche we were told would be filled by Jason Worilds. Mysteriously, the man was bulked up some 30 pounds, and now looks like an even slower version of Woodley!?

Both Worilds, and Woodley need to cut down about 20 lbs... Worilds did shed some baby fat getting some playing time, but I'm not giving him a glowing endorsement...
Woodley just looks lazy to me... Sure when he was hot, and had the 3 game stretch, he got alot of dong sacks, but he still looks like he takes plays off to me... He's just another guy that isn't worth the money he's getting. I agree with Still Mill all the way on that. He's definitely not a Kevin Greene, or Greg Lloyd... Far from it.

Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!
