Zero Blitz, Zero Cover was the strategy our coaching staff came up with today and it failed miserably.

This leaves an average QB with oodles of time to throw at single-coverage on the outside all day.Pathetic!!!

I can't believe this was the plan - Dick has got to go and I guess so does Tomlin if he doesn't realize the problem either.

This is the absolute worst strategy I've ever seen especially in todays pass happy NFL.

Throw in the fact that it was obvious that it didn't work in the second quarter and you have to question the intelligence of the defensive coaching staff.

I began to seriously question Tomlin's coaching ability as soon as he started Ben in week 17. All I said was, on the SLIM chance you win the division you're willing to risk the health of our franchise QB in a game we should be able to win without him? WHY? Because Ben said he really wanted to play? No shit, Sherlock! That's not his decision its yours. Ben did a phenomenal job in the 4Q to get us back in it, but I am convinced the poor play in the first half was a direct result of his gimpy ankle. A healthy Ben and maybe this was a different game...we still probably lose in Foxboro, tho.

I'll question Tomlin if he does not fire Bruce Arians in favor of an OC who isn't so predicable in the play calling. (What makes me think Ben likes Arians because Arians' playbook isn't too complex for Ben?) There are quite a few of OCs in the NFL who get more out of an offense with less talent. Heck, that Broncos OC did a masterful job.

I'll also question our organization if Ike Taylor, James Farrier, Willie Colon, Heinz Ward (I love him, but he's done), or Shaun Suisham are still on this team. (Suisham had a good game, but a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.)

We will get our answer about our coaching staff in lest than a week, when the Donco's head into the Patsies house, where they were dismantled earlier in the season.

Granted, easy schedule, granted, has one of the best QB's to play the game. But Bellichick took his team to 13-3 with a bunch of nobodies on D. They gave up record yards but they won 13 games. It's a new era. Let's see what he pulls off against the energized Donc's and Tebow.

Two points:

1. I have always liked John Fox as a coach. He did well in Carolina coaching for a mediorcre organization and without a whole lot of QB talent. He so totally outcoached us yesterday.

2. Timmy Tebow gets blasted a lot as not being good. He did make some mistakes yesterday, no doubt. But he also made a bunch of very accurate long passes yesterday as well as some quick reads and is even harder to bring down than Roethlisberger and runs like a deer. Quit thinking of this guy as a white drop back passer and think of him as a Steve McNair in his prime with even more guts, determination, and brains, and maybe even talent. I might be wrong but I really like this kid and the Donc's have some talented receivers and I could see Fox cooking up ways to use Tebow's talent and mask his deficiencies. Sort of like he did yesterday. I think they deliberately did what everybody thought they were going to do (run the ball alot) in Q1 and lulled the Stillers to sleep and then changed tactics and ripped us to shreds in Q2. I think that was planned. And it worked like a F'n charm.

Rankings are rankings. Consider all the rule changes to favor the offense catch up to even quality defenses. Put another way: Name the great defensive team this year.

A theory regarding the lack of turnovers and sacks this season: Perhaps D. LeBeau realized he was playing subpar quarterbacks and, to save a veteren defense, simply had them play 'straight up' i.e. no need to take chances, forcing green-horn QBs to make plays.

The two things that were so exasperating about Tebow's long throws: 1) He has the longest windup for a starting NFL QB in the modern era. 2) His deep passes spend a lot of time in the air. (Compare to the Ben reception to Wallace that was overturned by replay, the difference in the way the ball traveled through the air was disgusting. Even with Ben's bad wheel.) Those are the type of balls that an AVERAGE DB should EASILY make a play on, let alone a good one. Our DBs couldn't even do that.

(If it's windy in Foxboro, Tebow might not even complete a pass that travels over 15 yards. That first long reception was a wounded duck that had no business being a reception.)

Ike Taylor was so bad that game, I know a few fellow Stiller fans who actually think he threw that game. Personally, I hope that was his last game in a Stiller uniform.
