I've been rather quiet and disgusted after the embarrassment of S.B. 45, content in lurking/reading/watching the games until my squad gains redemption from that shit that happened last year. Being rather obsessed with National Politics and what is going on Nationally, I do admit that I am a dittohead and listen to "conservative" talk show pundits.

That having been stated, I agree with the idea bantied about by some of the lead talkers that the N.F.L. is headed to a no tackle, touch tackle game before too long. We were lucky to have grown up watching the likes of Jack Splat Lambert, Ozzie Newsome, Jack Tatum play the game with a no holds barred approach. I am not speaking to "clean" versus "dirty" hits, just the fact that this would have hardly been news back in the day. I am afraid that I agree with others that, soon we will be watching arena league football as opposed to what we are used to seeing.

Although, believe me - I don't wanna see anyone get hurt/killed during a game - that is what the game is about and players get hurt.

My big problem with this whole ordeal is the this "repeat-offender" crap. This has become "accepted as fact" amongst sports fans, even Stiller fans, who have not seen all the plays that led up to this suspension. And I'll say it again, of all the plays that were cited over that period, only the one on Josh Cribbs I thought should have been levied a penalty and fine.

First of all, this "leading with the helmet" BS......... If you meet with the body, while hitting with the helmet, that's NOT "leading with the helmet". There is actually a penalty for "leading with the helmet"...... Called "spearing"........ It's been in the books since I can remember....... I haven't seen anything Harrison has done that resembles that. Aside from the Josh Cribbs hit.

(The only other thing I had objection to with Harrison was how he slammed the fan to the ground in Cleveland.)

As far as I'm concerned, Harrison is getting the "Joe McCarthy" treatment......... If half-truths are cited as fact often and repeatedly, people start accepting it as true fact. Especially those who have not looked at all the plays closely, leading up to this crap.
