[quote="oldschoolhunkie"]I've been a big LeBeau defender but no defense for last night's defense.
I have also been a Lebeau defender, but there was no excuse to not have two DB's in the end zone on the last few plays. As several people pointed out, the receivers were getting past the defense. We got lucky with two dropped passes, and he still doesn't adjust-NO EXCUSE!
I wonder if there will be a "Wooden Dong Report" this week. The Mill could always point out how Woodley should have cheered louder and put more effort into keeping the bench warm!

Man, if only Woodley would have played, we would have won this bad boy. When is he coming back?

Man, I can see Mill gnashing his teeth while reading that.......

I liked how Polamalu was scraping along the backside of the Ravens offensive line on their running plays. That was an effective adjustment in terms of defending the zone blocking run scheme.

Larry Foote played the best game I can remember seeing him play. Foote busted Vauted Vonta Leach in the chops several times.

Like last week, Roethlisberger had outstanding pass protection that allowed him to survey the field. The Stillers offensive line was solid. The whole unit has my approval for 'Hard Hat'....Especially Pouncey and Starks for their work on Suggs and Ngata.

It's always disappointing to lose to the Ravens. (The Rats wrecked my prediction that the Stillers would go undefeated at home this season. :x ) This loss is compounded by how Baltimore has seemingly sewn up the division title, and the probable first round bye that goes along with it. There is still quite a bit of football left in the season, however. Nobody should over look the surprising Bengals.....The Stillers have the ability to defeat Baltimore in a rematch. We have to hope Pittsburgh gets such an opportunity, as it would likely be for the right to go to the Super Bowl. :sufootballhelmet:

This team may be able to weather an Arians Abortion or a Lebeau Lobotomy during the course of a game. But certainly not in the same game, and most certainly not in the same game in the last 3 minutes of the 4th Q and a 4 point lead. Omar Epps, Sir Richard Harris and Larry the Cable Guy need to quit masquerading as NFL coaches. The team was out coached in every phase of the game- plain and simple. Arians bullshit cutesy pass the ball with the lead and tow minutes left routine almost cost the Steelers the NE game.

On the other hand, Arians made the right call on the final offensive series against the Ratbirds. If DJ doesn't drop a cake easy pass and MeMo and BR are on the same page, the Ravens prolly get the ball back either not at all or with less than a minute to go. And Arians called a fantastic game against the Patriots. Yes, the final two plays appeared horse shit stupid but only b/c the line suddenly turned into swiss cheese. I just can't get over how bad the final defensive series in the Bal'mer game was. They didn't even have to use that time out they had left.

THIS. Also, fine, we got swept by the Ratbirds. But imagine how utterly, superlatively sweet it would be to go into their stadium for round three in JANUARY when it counts and knock 'em out. Gotta believe Bal'mer fans would be jumping from the rafters. I'm not done believing in this season.
