Clark fined $40,000

Clark's fine was justified. We all know he is a head hunter and it was correctly flagged on the field. My question is... and I did a lot of searching...

Where is the fine for Ray Lewis knocking Ward out of the game with a CLEARLY ILLEGAL HELMET-TO-HELMET hit??? To make matters worse, this hit wasn't even flagged on the field.

***UPDATE - Ray Lewis received a $20,000 fine today

I hate to say this, but the assessment of Clark's hit as "correctly flagged" is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT........ As was the fine........ This action by Adolf Goodell sickened me maybe even more than that final Ravens' drive.

If I were a Stillers ticket holder, I'd start bringing a huge "GOODELL MUST GO" sign to the games, as long as he remains Fuhr.....uh.....commissioner...... He is in the process of ruining the great game of American football...... Not to mention making the game more dangerous, because the players no longer have clarity in what the rules actually are.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

If a player lowers his head before the tackle, and makes initial, or even close to initial contact, with his helmet into the guy with the ball's helmet, it gets a flag or a fine or both. These guys have got to learn to keep their head up. It's not the way they were taught, it's the way my dad was taught when he played in the 1940's when helmets were soft. I think they need to go back to soft helmets myself. No way Clark makes that tackle with a soft helmet.

You can bitch about it all you want, it's not going to change. Are the Steelers targeted more than anybody else? Could be. Who cares? Harrison has learned to tackle without lowering his head, as he did with devestating effectiveness up to the 2010 season.

Mill has been correctly calling out Ryan for being good for a cheap shot per game for a while now. That particular hit cost us the margin of victory.

I guess it's wrong to try and halt someone as effectively as possible in football now, eh? Fighting to stop a player from gaining that crucial extra yard is no longer an option........no more leaning forward in order to lower your center of gravity. This is no longer a man's sport, and warriors need not apply. When you lean forward while running at high speeds, your head might bump into the other player's head, and we can't have any more of that now. Hell, you might as well make a rule that states "No defender may run directly towards the ball carrier, and may only approach from behind or the side." Is this what football is really turning into? Are we truly encouraging our defenders to give up yardage and not to make big plays? Is this really what everyone wants?

So, no more collisions in football, huh?........Whatever makes everyone happy, I guess. All those old clips of Butkus, lambert, Singletary, Greene, lloyd, and LT can just be tossed in the incinerator now......we got no use for players like that anymore. Oh sure, we'll still show all those awesome clips from when football used to be great to sell everything we can, but don't expect to see anything like that happen during any games anymore. And while you're at it, you might as well shitcan all those old Offensive records, 'cause they're going to be obsolete from this point out. Say hello to the era of the National Flag Football League folks........it's finally here.
