I agree Mill. The only way to disrupt the robot that is Brady is to hit him so hard he tilts like a cheap pinball machine.

Is there any chance that LeBeau and the Steelers play possum against the Patriots in the regular season and save the blitzes and nickel back and two-man front for the playoff meeting? I may be trying to make chicken salad here. But by now the deficiencies of the usual approach are so obvious that isn't it possible that the Steelers are saving the best for a possible playoff meeting?

Well you can't show everything, that's for sure. The Gays in '08 don't count 'cause Cassel was QB, and we didn't really have to play that tough due to everyone on their team muffing, fumbling, or dropping everything all game long. Additionally, their O-line allowed Silverback to rape and pillage Cassel several times.
Aside from that meeting, the only other time the Steelers beat the Gays recently was '04, which at this stage is now a while ago. Everything went well that day, but I guess it's totally possible that Belicheat and Brady learned a little too much from that ass-stomping. *Disclaimer: Knowledge that may, or may not have been acquired by using means prohibited by the rules.
If we end up beating the Rats the week after, I would only give slightly more than a rat's ass about losing this one.

They didn't do too bad in the 2nd half either. Down 3 starting LBs too. The offense kept N.E. off the field for most of the day, which was key.

Hell of a game, can't wait to see how the Mill twists the performances of Dick Lebeau and Lamar Woodley! I guess they just got lucky-repeatedly.

I don't want to take away from the way the D stepped up (missing 5 out of 7 starters on the defensive front) but the offensive game plan with the obvious exception of the Arians Abortion on the last drive won this game. Good combination of short/intermediate routes and screens (Heath for Hard Hat) with lots of PAP and enough run game to keep the NE defense off balance. Ben had his game face on aside from the absolutely wretched INT and was superb and the receivers and back made some gutty catches.

all around enjoyable win, except for the increasing number of injured Stillers. funny how our dbs, who have been (rightfully) maligned, actually seemed more comfortable playing press man coverage. Hopefully Dick took note of that. Red zone offense has to get better, too. 2 outta five aint gonna cut it. gives us plenty to work on this week in practice. bring on the ratbirds. paybacks a BITCH.

The Steeler D has once again shown Still Mill as the unknowledgeable, hater that he is. His total disdain for Dick and Lamar is laughable. It is just like the old adage "Everyone else is wrong, I'm right". Good luck selling that this week Mill. This sight has become like Obama trying to sell his "change" as something positive.

Could not agree more, on all points!

Oops. Now what do we do Mill? Can we hate teams other than the Steelers yet?
