jeez, I sure hope Woodley returns your trikey, Mill, so you can perhaps move on to some more in depth reporting and analysis.

Amen! I thought it was silly to do this post every week even at the beginning of the year when Woodley probably deserved it. Now it's just pathetic.

Then again, Woodley is not worth 61 million. Never was.
He looks like he's put on too much weight and has lost considerable finese because of it. I thought he had a decent game against the Pats, but he's not anything like Demarcus Ware.

I completely agree. I have never thought that Woodley was the greatest linebacker in the league, on our team, or even on the field at times. My point is just that he is also not the most useless sack of shit that has ever donned a helmet. Case in point; the big knock on Woodley on this site in the past has been that he only got sacks because the O-lines had to focus so much attention on Harrison on the other side that Woodley was left alone. Now that Harrison has been absent for a month and Woodley has led the team, and practically the league, in sacks during that time, the argument becomes whatever it has become. That's called reverse engineering; coming up with your conclusion and then trying to cram whatever facts you have into it, as opposed to the other way around. I love this site, and most of Mill's analysis, because of the willingness to call a spade a spade and not sugarcoat crap like the kneejerk mainstream media. However, when the dialogue digresses into pointless name calling and self congratulatory criticism, it ceases to be productive or journalistic, in my opinion. Calling an overpaid, overhyped linebacker a slacker and a mirage is fine. Doing so ad nauseum, even in the face of some evidence to the contrary, doesnt make someone a maverick or a trailblazer. It merely distracts from any meaningful conversation about the team's assets and flaws and any ideas about how to actually improve.

Demarcus Ware had 4 Dong sacks in a 30+ point blowout loss.

I think Mill is on the wrong path here. Woodley has a instinct that cant be taught. I have also noticed lots of OLB that get in but can not bring the QB down. Woodley always gets his man. He laso bull rushed his blocker and took him and the RB down at the same time. What did Labert say? Grab them all and throw them away until you are left with the QB?
Sorry Mill, I am not with you here

No need to apologize. Frankly, I don't care if you, or anyone, is "with me" on this. I know a 1-dimensional, dong sacking fraud when I see one. You'll recall that I was THE FIRST to spot Jason GilDong as the fraud that he truly was. Others soon jumped on the bandwagon.
This lazy fuck gives up a GAME WINNING 42-tyard TD run, then collects DONG sacks while being UNTOUCHED, or against backup RUNNING BACKS and backup TEs, and gets named Def. Player of the month. Just another example of how sacks are fawned over when they often mean so little, and are obtained quite easily on UNTOUCHED plays. I don't follow bullshit glitz and bullshit "honors" that mean jack-dick. It's performance on the field that matters to this analyst.

I had to go back and look at the video again to make sure my memory was correct on this one, Mill, so I did and it sure looked like Pola overpursued to the Oline's left (even worse than Woodley did) on Arian's 42 yd dash and was thus even more out of position than Woodley, and yet he still equally missed the tackle on that one. That having been said, given the venom with which you have stood your ground I will pay closer attention to Woodley tomorrow, whether you care what I think or not. Whatever happens, I'm glad you keep 'em comin. The sooner you start buckling to peer pressure, tailoring your discourse to public opinion, and joining the majority the sooner this site becomes just another fawning slopfest for praising the overpaid story of the week.

I don't care that you don't care. You still look silly bashing Woodley week after week.

I also think there is no comparing Gildon to Woodley. Gildon was truly a titty jouster. Woodley is not. Woodley pushes his man back into the QB, Gildon did not. Woodley does perform. he gets the job done. Many rushers miss the QB after all their effort, Woodley does not as he has good instincts. Woodley is NOT the replacement for your Gildon wrath. I am actually surprised that you are not more focused on Timmons production. The former number one pick is a good player, but he is not quite living up to his athletic ability. Whether you care or not, you are wrong about Woodley. But thats cool, noone is perfect

To repeat myself, I expect Mill to be unrelenting with his weekly grilling of Wood, and again have seen him slowly improving since the Dong reports started.......whatever works. Any of you who think that by defending Lamarr, Mill might stop, he will not, and it does not bother me.
What does bothet me is all this jibber jabber, and we still don't have a Hard Hat winner for the Pasties game.

This is not jibber jabber, this is a thread on the woodendong report that has nothing to do with Hard Hat. The posts are way down compared to years gone by so when we have something interesting to joust over, by God, we are going to joust

By the way, the HH winner is easy. Its Lamar Woodley.
Re: New Article: The WoodenDong Report (Game #8, vs. New Englan
I was actually gonna nominate Mill for Hard Hat, given his relentless pursuit of Woodley...

Fair enough.......It would be a safe bet that perhaps the everlovin' "commitee" is hopelessly deadlocked on who's getting it, and we all know they nominated Woodley last week, so they all obviously don't share Mill's absolute hatred of Lamarr. They want Wood, and Mill's not budging.......I'll go with your pick.
Hey "commitee!" If you guys can't pick a Hard Hat winner, then your poasters will! Woodley by sake of controverial merit gets it.......happy?

And Mill should drop the WoodenDong report and start up the BR7 blows report instead
