9-18-11 Seahawks vs Steelers Game thread

Postby PGHeaven » Sun Sep 18, 2011 1:17 pm

Now Momlin is committing the all too familiar stupid challenge mistake. This team is looking more and more pathetic every week. But I am convinced that Tomlins football IQ is not very high

Where is everybody? One loss and it's as if the season is over.....................

I agree totally about Tomlin............ Wasted a timeout on a challenge that had zero chance.

Short yardage offense stunk as usual...............
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Steelers got a mulligan............. The Hee-Haw'ks "D" looked awful second possession.

Nice 12 minute TD.......took 2 possessions and a defensive stand to get it, but it's a TD. Where was that trick play last year when we had El?

I'm liking Gay less and less every game that goes by..........that was a hella weak play on the ball, and a lame attempt at keeping a hold on that WR.

Guarded optimism is the order of the day.

And you know what? Why didn't we make a move for Robert Gallery when he was on the open market. I'm not saying he's a worldbeater but I've seen him play with the Raiders and he demonstrated via empirical evidence that he's better than any guard we have right now.

Geeez.......I was just cursing Antonio for not letting that ball bounce into the EZ and then cursing him more for juking and bobbling all over the field. Then, he turned the corner......my apologies Brown, just make sure you never turn that stuff into an abortion, ok.

Committing more penalties doesn't make him better.

Penalties aside, how doesn't he measure up to the very low standards this organization has for offensive linemen?

He was some what of a draft bust. At least the underwhelming performers on this line haven't been over hyped.

You haven't read the media on Willie Colonblow have you? And yes, gallery failed as a tackle but he's a good guard. I'm not saying he's a hall of famer. I'm just saying he's far better than any of the emasculated baby hueys we've plugged in at RG over the last oh... 7 years.

Steelers have no pass rush today........... A better team would be carving 'em up..................

Agreed. And there's no rotation of the front three. Remember in '04 and '05 when we had two fresh squads we could rotate in and out? Superbowl XL champs was the result.

Foster is a good player when his nasty doesn't get the better of him. He is going through a stage of learning to control his rage.

Fair enough. At this stage of Foster's career I can agree here.

I'm glad we're up by this margin, but emotionally I'm bracing for the inevitable and far too early shift to garbagetime by the D, and a total lack of clock control by Arians.
