HEALTHY PLAYERS
We need to start seeing an emphasis on healthy players on the club. The recent injury to Colon is brutal but is another example of counting on guys that cannot stay healthy. Aaron Smith is another. Is anyone truly shocked Colon is out?
We lost McFadden all preseason to injury and Taylor too except for a couple plays. Then we looked surprised when our pass defense looked rusty when neither of them had played at live action basically all year. Smith looked slow, Colon is now out.
We should have kept Flozell in the off-season. He was healthy and ready but we went with the walking injury bug who is now out for the year. These are not smart decisions. McKinnie was cut by Minnesota and went to Baltimore. We have Jonathan Scott starting for us. What is wrong with this picture?
We have no real back-up QB now so if anything happens to Ben then we are done. Leftwich unfortunately cannot be counted on and the other two cannot play against good teams. We should get Garrard if we can but I am sure money will prevent that.

Re: HEALTHY PLAYERS
It would be good to see some of the younger guys get mixed in with the older guys. Keeping players fresh is a smart way to prevent injuries caused by fatigue.
Pittsburgh has to get its youth involved and give those players some valuable experience. We have to hope the Stillers learned from losing starters to injuries last season that the back ups and younger players have to be able to perform should they be forced into action.
