I swear, some of you guys just like to bitch so that you have something to complain about. Who cares what Antonio Brown does after a touchdown as long as it doesn't cost the team a penalty. You have nearly 1,700 players in the league. That's 1,700 different personalities. That's 1,700 different ways of game preparation. That's 1,700 different ways to react to scoring touchdowns. Not everyone is going to act like Larry Fitzgerald when they score, and not everyone is going to act like Chad Johnson when they score. It's harmless fun that doesn't effect the team in any way. Most of those 1,700 players won't play for more than three or four years, so let them enjoy themselves and have fun while they can. It doesn't matter if they play for the Steelers or the Lions, as long as they aren't doing anything to negatively effect the team in the game. And don't act like just because he is a Steelers player, that he should be held to some higher standard than everyone else. This is 2011, not 1975 anymore. As long as he continues to bring it every Sunday, he can go give Steely McBeam a handjob after every score for all I care.

It DID cost a penalty as I recall - a taunting penalty on the kickoff.
Yes it does cost the team. It happened last yr with one of these jokers as well.

You're wrong BGSU. Funny, but wrong. There was a penalty and Coach gave him a talking to and announcers both radio and TV thought his antics were ill advised. It's a minor offense but nope, can't be doing that shit

Some of this crap needs called out. I know it happened last yr and if memory serves, the ensuing kick-off, once he penalty was appropriated, they either ran it back (because we suck on coverages) or damn near broke it and made the game a whole lot closer than it should have been. Any takers on this - which game and who had the penalty?

Also, we are down about 23 CB's in practice and this other moron, Butler, decides to do a header in the EZ from 10 feet out?
Nah, no risk of injury there either, right? Aw, let 'em have fun. No problem. They collide on the field anyway, what's the difference, right?

Just once, I'd love to see this idiocy cost some team a game, a chance at the playoffs, and a shot at the the whole shootin' match. Maybe then, coaches will smarten up and stop the childishness.

There's no need to act like you just won the SB every time you score a TD. It's boorish and could cost the team a penalty, which it did on Brown's 1st TD the other night. Tomlin correctly berated Brown for that.

A high-5 or some such quick show of enthusiasm should do.

Sadly, I remember the days when spiking the football in the end zone was a big deal (and it's still illegal in college/high school FB). Now, everyone has to drawn attention to themselves. It's all about ME! I am the only player on this team. Don't look at the other 10 guys on the field who made this possible, LOOK AT ME!!! And it doesn't end with Touchdowns, look at everyone's Sack Dances and players making their own first down signals.

I personally hate that shit with a passion. Celebrate with your teammates! Give some high-fives and head butts, maybe pump your fist in the air as you run back to the huddle or the sidelines. Just knock off all the ME, ME, ME crap. I always refer back to an ESPN interview with Deacon Jones when I see this stuff. The interviewer, in reference to one of Terrell Owens' celebrations, asked him what would happen in his day if someone did that on the field. Deacon Jones simply laughed and shook his head. "It just didn't happen. We policed ourselves in those days. If he did that our our home field, the next play, they would have carried him off on a stretcher."

Thanks, Pump. Feel the same way exactly. Hines does it a little BUT he cuts it short and doesn't make it about him or show anybody up. Antonio and Butler were WWAAAYYYY over the top. Vets need to step in and remind them they got to the promised land with a lot of help along the way. It draws attention, draws a flag, costs a game and everyone loses.
