Line-up Talk
FOXSports.com's Adam Caplan is reporting:
IMO - neither of these guys has shown the ability to start. Not Good.
Pittsburgh Steelers CB Keenan Lewis could receive an opporunity to start at cornerback next season if impending free-agent CB Ike Taylor does not re-sign with the team.
Pittsburgh Steelers OT Marcus Gilbert could be an option to start at either right guard or right tackle in the future.

Re: Line-up Talk
This article doesn't hold any credibility. Lewis was put in Tomlin's doghouse for playing like dogshit in preseason and hasn't been seen since. If Ike leaves for FA, then Gay will most likely be the #2 corner behind McFadden. Brown is going to be the starting nickel and Butler will be the dime CB.

Re: Line-up Talk
And if Taylor leaves you have to expect a FA to be signed. Carlos Rodgers will probably be affordable and has a very similar skillset to Ike.

Ed Bouchette at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had some things to say today, reporting:
None of it reall breaking news, but these days it id just good to read some football talk.
Pittsburgh Steelers OT Flozell Adams is not interested in becoming a backup next season and likely would be released if the team does not believe he is a starter.
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon are expected to compete for the No. 3 quarterback job next season if Dixon re-signs with the team.
The Pittsburgh Steelers likely will keep WR Limas Sweed on the roster during training camp to see if he has the ability to make the team.

Re: Line-up Talk
Thats the first I have heard anything associated with poor Limas in a Loooong time. Weirdly, Plax is on the event horizon. Poor Limas would shit a brick if an offer was made to old Plax

ESPN.com's James Walker is talking about Limas, but it ain't good for him...
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Limas Sweed likely will have to perform well during the preseason and show that he is recovered from the Achilles' tendon injury he suffered last offseason if he wants to make the final roster. Sweed appears to be the No. 6 wide receiver on the depth chart at this point.
