Assuming there is a CBA, How many wins next season?

Postby PSUPERCY » Fri Feb 11, 2011 2:34 pm

Home:
Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, New England, Seattle and St. Louis

Away:

Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City,
Arizona and San Francisco

I can conservatively count 11 wins. I think we split Baltimore. New England, Indy, Arizona (too much Steeler knowledge) and Houston (we need CB's) make me nervous. We win the AFC North again. How do you see it?

I'm just hoping the Owners, and the Players get the CBA done... Goodell's a tool. The CBA should've been priority one since the Owners opted out of it. Now if we play a full season, we have a couple long road trips in there for Next Season. I'll be even more conservative, and hope for 10 wins, and hopefully the team crushes my hopes, and takes it all.

No way the Stillers win 12 gms next yr. You gotta figure the D takes a step back - ya think more teams will try to spread them out??? You also gotta figure Ben is gonna miss a few gms every yr w/ the way he plays & all the sacks.

I say 10 wins in awful generous - depends if Balty can improve. Ravens do seem to be having a lot of dissension among coaches - Zorn fired, Cameron under fire as OC, etc.

If they don't get any DB help, I see them winning 9-10 gms at most.

I think 11 wins is very reasonable. Ben and Mendy, with Wally, Sanders, Ward, Brown, Miller. The defense will still be solid.

Mill, what the fuck?

I simply cannot back up this defense anymore.

If they don't get rid of Gay, they're out of their fucking skulls.

You have so accept 1 of 2 things.

1. Mark Sanchez is a very good qb. (had 6+ games without a passing td this season)

2. Everyone's figured out this steelers defense.

Everyone says it: Throw to ANYONE but Troy and Ike, and don't abuse McFadden too badly, 27+points. Easy.
Get the ball out of your hands quickly, easy day. After all, The steelers love to give those huge cushions.
This defense could be in for a season of hurt, not unlike '09.

Mill, everything you've said about the steelers defensive weaknesses has suddenly come to fruition, and the whole NFL
knows it (except farrior's somehow gotten better?!)

Just like everything else in the nfl, you see people on homer boards such as this say shit about their team, but it takes a couple years before anyone else realizes it.

To finish off my rant, I'll bring up another of your points: even if we draft cb first round (WHICH WE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD) LEBEAU WILL KEEP HIM ON THE BENCH ALL YEAR. You always say they're not permitted to play the first year. And it's damn true.

Better hope for at least a deshea-caliber corner in crezdon or that other guy who dropped the pick against the raiders last year.

Either this will happen, or Troy will turn it into another season like 2008 where he just takes over everything. That'd be pretty nice...
