Flozell

Postby BGSUsteelers » Mon Jan 24, 2011 11:06 am

I just wanted to point out that there is an article on ESPN breaking down Rashard Mendenhall's rushing performance last night.

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/23756/page/espntexas/mendenhall-out-front-in-title-run

Basically it shows that Mendenhall averaged 2.4 YPC running to the left and up the middle combined. However, he averaged 6.5 YPC running to the right with four first down runs going to that side.

So with that said, I would like to nominate Flozell for the Hard Hat award this week.

After a long and successful career, Floz is smelling his first super bowl ring. Man wants it. Got his work cut out for him in SB XLV.

Flozell gets to return to Dallas for the Super Bowl. This has to be the ultimate take that for him. The Cowboys did not want to pay him -- they went with Doug Free instead. Now, here comes Flozell back home with a smile on his face.

This shows why you do not listen to others and keep your confidence in yourself. Good for him!

At first, I was against our team nosing around their locker room trying to fill roster spots. But now that we got to the Superbowl, I'm glad we got him.

I don't know why but I always liked Flozell. No idea why I do but would love to see him get a ring in Jerrys house. I can see the Dallas Morning Star now.

The runs to the right also succeeded because Heath Miller flat out kicked the shit out of the Jets linebackers. He sealed them, trucked them, planted them. It was a great night of blocking by a TE.

Exactly the point I was gonna make, Len. Heath was blowing shit up. Well done.

I'd like to see "The Hotel" go one more season with the Stillers... A lot of fans sling mud at Willie Colon, yet the Pittsburgh front office maintains that he has value. Placing a first round tender on him in most years would guarantee his return...Given the fact that the line went through some treacherous times during this last title run, it's fine with me to have both players available for next season.

Here's to hoping that Adams can be added to the roster if need be :suspense:
