Haven's Power Rankings are back! The NFL season is upon us! WOOO HOOOO!!!!
Re: New Article: Power Rankings (week 1)
superb power poll, as always, from Steel Haven....
I thought perhaps the 'Aints at 10 was a bit high.....but as this point of the season, everyone is tied for #1 and just about every team has good aspirations, morale, and so on. The men will be separated from the boys in about 5 weeks.....

People down here in Mississippi are pretty excited for the Saints season. They acknowledge that there's a lot of "ifs" (IF Shockey can stay healthy, IF their O-line learned to pass block, IF Meachem lives up to preseason hype (and he has looked good), IF Duece can stay healthy, etc), but they could potentially light some teams up.
Their skill positions are about as dangerous as you'll find if they learn how to correctly use Reggie (oops, another IF). Their front seven is as strong as ever if Vilma stays healthy (DAMNIT!).
The glaring weak spot right now is their secondary. It was atrocious last year, and looks just as atrocious this year. Don't be surprised if a crazed NO fan clubs Jason David in the knee before the season's over. That guy has no problems spelling the last name of every receiver he's ever gone against.

most power rankings have the STEELERS at SIX OR SEVEN.
Which means most EXPECT us to roll this year.
I concur

Preseason optimism is the best. Every fan thinks his team has a chance.
That's not saying I'm not one of those fans though. I think Steelers roll to an SB victory.

I am pretty confident about another division win and trip to the playoffs. I'm not so confident about Pittsburgh having an answer for the Jags.
I'm just sayin'.

Cowboys are highly over rated.....1 receiver.....1 running back.

Crayton is respectable. Not great, but there are worse number two's out there. You're forgetting about witten, easily a top five TE. Don't sleep on felix jones at RB either...
