If only you were actually coaching Still !!

I believe it will come down to whoever makes the last mistake.

Below are my keys to victory!

Harrison (pressure)
Timmons (more pressure)
Pola (roam because of pressure/but aggressive at times)
Pressure from all !

BR7 (be aggressive on first down - put pressure on them right away/crowd feeds off of this)
Ward (agree with Mill very quiet the 2nd game)
Miller (7+ catches)
Redmond (short yardage will be key - especially 2nd half)

I agree with Mill's statement that the Steelers should dominate.

Before the last game with the Ravens, I predicted the Steelers would win by two touchdowns (or something like that).

As I watched that game, the Stillers had numerous opportunties to break the game open and put it away. Instead they kept screwing up. Let's hope they are more focused tomorrow.

Also, there is no reason the Stillers can't beat the Patriots. Yes they are good but not that good; they are nowhere near as capable as the '07 team, which was beaten when it mattered most.

I don't want to jinx it, but there is no reason this team can't put together an '05 style run. Everybody is enamored of somebody else and writing us off. We dominated both Indy and Denver that year (although we nearly blew it against Indy) on the play of BR7.

I have been very pleased with the regular season 2nd half adjustments on both sides of the ball. They should definately look for big plays on 1st down since the Steelers have had 77 20-plus-yard plays while allowing only 40 this season. Nobody even came close to the total number or the differential.

Sorry, SoCal, but I don't see the adjustments. This staff just doesn't seem to change anything they are doing during a game.

Arians has NEVER intimated he has a clue how to slow down a pass rush with play calling. We could be up by 3 scores w/ 5-mins. to go and yet the game does not seem out of reach for an opponent because Dick goes soft after what has worked all game. Ben has proven to be quite adept at the hurry-up offense to score but we don't see it when we're behind or even when we have someone on the ropes. At least I haven't seen much of it. Sorry, very few games are a lock for us mid-way thru 4th. Not as many as there should be given the weapons we have. Sanders, Brown, Wally running short, QUICK underneath routes are not used as much as they should be, IMO. Wally has sprung a few and this tactic NEEDS exploited - it WILL slow down a pass rush - it's why Brady is still pretty (Welker anyone???)when they're done mopping up someone.

THAT said, WE NEED A DEFENSIVE TD to win this game. TOP has to swing in our favor (game planning and 3rd dn converts) by 5 minutes minimum. 7mins or better would be ideal. (Hurry-up "O" impacts this though) Comes down to Miller, Ward, Redman moving the chains on 3rd and 6's, 3rd and 3's, etc. We stop Heap, Rice and clutch catches by Mason.

CAN WE ASK SPECIAL TEAMS TO COOL THEIR TEMPERS AND NOT "BLOCK ANYONE IN THE DAMN BACK" OR HOLD FOR A CHANGE?

Love to see weather be a factor (Balt. has crap for weather too) but somehow, nasty weather in the "Burgh plays into our hands.

What worries me is 35 year old Farrior trying to stay with Rice.Ray Rice was taken a round after Mendy and at this point I'd rather have Rice.True, the o line is below average but RM has danced at times and enraged me when he meekly skipped out of bounds with open field in the CLE game.Very Franco like.

So the steelers are still playing?! That's great news. I figured since Mill COMPLETELY exposed Lebeau they'd just call the game off and hand the Super Bowl to the Patriots. I mean after all the Steelers suck, right Mill? Glad to see Mill thinks we at least can take the field without tripping over our shoelaces. Way to stay upbeat and positive Mill! Good for you.

Like I clearly WROTE, rookie dumfuk, the Stillers could have Pee Wee Herman be the Def. Coord and this defense would still be a top 10 defense, what with the enormous wealth of talent, depth, AND experience on that side of the ball. It's highly possible this defense can overcome the clumsy ineptitude of its D.C. and help win this game. It's possible.

Mill,

Rookie? Are you under the assumption that we're on a team of some sort? You do realize this is a website and not a football team right? You're not playing JV football anymore Mill. Those days are over. Sorry, time to cope. And like I clearly WROTE, I'm encouraged that you think it may be "possible" that the Steelers win. I'm happy to see you are at least tolerating the Steelers. Maybe one day, you'll even start to like them. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your time coach! I appreciate you putting up with me being such a green underdeveloped rookie. Can I carry your whistle next week? jajajajajajajajajaaj

Prior to your brilliant (sic) posts here on this thread, you'd posted here all of FIVE times. That makes you a greenhorned rookie here. At this rate, ya probably won't last long here, which is fine. We've rather enjoyed running off tools, fools, and dumfuks.

Mill,

I think the game will be closer than you think, and it's because of the massive advantage the Ravens have on special teams -- an advantage that could be a LOT bigger if their kick returner David Reed hadn't torn his wrist last month (he was leading the NFL in kick return average, 29.3). Sam Koch is a LOT better than Jeremy Krapinos (who's yet to down a ball inside the 20 with any skill) and while Suisham has been an accurate, steady kicker, he's no match for Billy Cundiff, who had a legendarily good season as the Ravens' kicker (he set an NFL record for touchbacks this season). When you have two teams that are going to clutch and grab for every flippin' yard, starting on the 20-yard line versus say, the 30-yard line, is a big deal.

I still have flashbacks of Drew Weatherford downing a punt at the 1-yard line and Jason Taylor baptizing Mewelde Moore in the end zone. We MUST, MUST, MUST win the field position game, and play the game adroitly.

The Stillers are the superior team here. I like that Tomlin ran practices last week. That had to keep everyone focused on the ultimate goal. I expect Pittsburgh to be sharp today. The Ravens don't match up overwhelmingly in any area with the exception of the kicking game. There is no way in my mind that this game will be decided from the foot/feet of either teams wusses. I laugh at the idea that the Rat's run defense is in the same area code as the Stillers. Laugh out loud! The only fools who could support that theory are the Baltimorons...hey it's cool, this game has been built up as the greatest rivalry in football and the idea of parity paints a pretty picture of that statement. We will see on the field, and Pittsburgh will set the record straight. Ray Rice will have his chest cavity opened, his legs removed and his heart excavated with the jagged edges of his femurs. Willis McGahee could do everyone a favor by prematurely digging his own grave prior to dieing on the field this time around. The option to roll his corpse off into the ditch so that the game could continue with out the full body bag ceremony would be ideal. Flacco is a pedestrian version of Tom Brady. When given time to stand in the pocket and survey the field he has a big arm and can make all the throws. Josephina fails under pressure and doesn't move well. He has no chance of staying clean this afternoon. Because he won't have the benefit of a steady rushing attack, Flake-o will have to consistently move the chains through the air and put up a historic passing day to keep this contest close.

The Stillers have a big advantage on offense imo and it's because of there speed. The Stillers have speed at the receiver position that I believe are yet to totally stretch there legs. Pittsburgh can run the ball, and have home field advantage. Big Ben, that guy can play some quarterback. The home team looks to have a large margin of supremacy today and I don't expect this game to be as close as the media and Ravens have lead everyone to believe. :sucope: Stillers 38 Ravens 24.
