Ike on...who?

Postby clarioncall » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:19 am

Who does Ike follow (to the locker room if necessary)?
Mason or Bolden?

Mason's a Steeler killer, Bolden more athletic. Housh is a quality receiver and Heap is dnagerous.
Heap's injury in last game sure made life easier for secondary.
Can our offensive OC develop a plan to sustain long drives to keep THEIR D on the field for a change?
This is what makes Pats offense so effective, short pass game that works like a run game.
We have the players: El, Sanders, Brown that offer speed -(not so much El), elusiveness and ability.
While they watch Wally, Ward, Miller, we should be able to work the short stuff.
I have NO faith in Arians ability to devise anything different than Mendy straight at Ngata, say 15-18 times.

Thoughts?

I would put Ike on Bolden with Troy covering the middle (Heaps turf). Having said that, the Ratbirds can be run on. KC had success early with the run but had to abandon it later in the game to catch up due to all the turnovers. As long as we protect the ball I see Mendy and Redzone having a good day. Throw in those quick slants with Wallace and Sanders to mix things up, a little play action and we should be in good shape with the Balt D sucking wind in the 4th Quarter. I see a close game early but a nice two score lead late in the 3rd Q.

Bring 'em on! :subngtowl:

Ike on Bolden; McFadden on Mason; Pola in the Middle for Heap; and Gay on the toilet. The real question is what happens when they send Stallworth deep?

Flacco waits for him to get open and Harrison gets another sack...and a 15 yard penalty and $50,000 fine for looking at a quarterback without smiling.
