Despite Loss, Steelers Still Make Playoffs?

Postby Steelers76 » Sun Dec 19, 2010 9:55 pm

According to "The Steel Curtain" on Facebook, they said despite the loss to The Jets, The Steelers still clinched a playoff berth today. They cited "The NFL" as their source. Can anyone confirm, as I don't see it anywhere else....?

"Now that I'm here, I don't want to just be here, I want to be here for a long time." Hines Ward :D, 1998.

Ben needs to step up and start playing like a 100 million dollar QB that he supposedly is and put some points on the board or its one and done.
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!

yep we clinched a playoff spot. the best an afc west/south non-division winner can do is 10-6 and we win either tiebreaker due to better division record. Whether we beat out baltimore will determine if we're the #2 or #6 seed. If we end up not winning the division we lose the head to head tiebreaker to the jets which will get us the #6.

Given how they have been playing (even the wins have been a bit tainted), I really don't see them going very far into the playoffs.

I keep hoping the light will go off.....the team will get on a late season surge....peaking just right......yet, all I get, every week...is "Ground Hog Day"...over, and over, and over.

Also, I doubt the philosophy......when the playoffs start, its a new season and anyone can win. That's bullshit.

You take a fat girl home from the bar.....what do you have in the morning? A fat girl. Teams, just like ladies, don't magically change over night.
