In all fairness, the calls were bad on both sides. The Steelers got a first time awarded when they were clearly a yard short. That might have been the most retarded call I've seen all year. They also got another favorable spot on a Hines catch on like 3rd and 17. If anyone or anything is to blame for this loss, it's Jonathan Scott. How you whiff that badly on a running play is beyond me. Hopefully Essex keeps the LT spot for the rest of the season, and hopefully Jonathan Scott's car somehow drives off of one of the bridges tonight.

How many times must you get hit in the head before you will realize that these go WAAAAAY beyond simple "Bad Calls?" A team MIGHT get one, possible two bad calls a game. We are getting entire quarters and series of these. No way can this be a 'coincidence'...

Yes it does Happen, as an Official you are taught to interpet what is seen. That ref had good vision on the play he either closed his eyes for that brief second or just plain out blew it. I think he blew it. Still can't change what was done but it is really getting bad there is a major lack of consistancy with the calls. There were a the least 8 -9 no calls that should have been. Clearly you see a receiver getting his head whiplashed like wallace you determine he was pushed from behind, as revis clearly did on one play you see about 12" of stretched shirt you determine that a receiver is being held, do not give me this Oh he was not in position Bull they were. Just outright blown calls. Ward is right this is going to cost a team in the post season. More than likely it will be the Streelers. We can lose games on our own with our inventive Playcalling and defensive schemes (sarcasm) we don't need any help from the Refs. Unfortunatly we lost this Game on other things not just the bad calls. I think it is only going to get worse before something is done.

Just how many times were the penalty flags picked up in the first qtr? 3x? 4x? I lost count.

Are the refs now carrying the flags in their hands when officiating Steeler games? Are they anticipating using them so often that they figure they might as well carry them to save time from dragging them out of their pockets? Were the 3 or 4 times the flag was picked up thrown in anticipation of what they THOUGHT was going to happen?

Or are the flags to heavy to carry and they are just being dropped?

No doubt brother. Last 5 games in a row the announcers have noticed what is going on as well. Its a rapefest and its Goodell and Anderson behind it
