Good articel, but Tomlin needs to step in and straighten out Arians. Not Big Ben and Hines Ward.

the best part of this article is this

He's built a Ferrari of an offense, but he drives it like his grandmother's Model A. Yes, it will get you to the finish line, but it probably won't win the race.

its like he has a tool box with every tool that you would ever need but doesnt know how to use any of them

if Joseph Sirimarco can see this then the Rooney's really should see this and say to Tomlin FIX IT AND FIX IT NOW
"Now that I'm here, I don't want to just be here, I want to be here for a long time." Hines Ward :D, 1998.

This article hit on all, or most all, of points made here.
This guy is absolutely clueless in using his talent pool, exploiting a "D's" weakness, and 3rd down conversions.

I still contend he has a bottom drawer in his desk full of "pictures". How he remains here is beyond baffling.
MT NEEDS to demand more and players need more input.
The Kemo thing in Buffalo - keep running off guard when Kemo could not stop Wms - is just routine for this asshat.

"We don't change anything what we do on offense, no matter who is in there." Oh really? Then when the next tackle goes down, bring in Randle El since "the standard doesn't change" either. Evidently, all 53+ have the same skill sets and everyone is interchangeable. What rubbish. Why have "starters" and 2nd and 3rd teams then? They are obviously NOT starters for a reason.

Maybe, just maybe, Bruce, you idiot, you have to "devise" some things to protect your weaknesses, ...LIKE SLOWING DOWN A PASS RUSH YOU HAVE PROVEN YOU CAN'T STOP??????? OH I DON'T KNOW, maybe some screens, maye some 8-yd crossing routes that we can TAKE TO HOUSE WITH THE TALENT POOL YOU HAVE AT YOUR DISPOSAL! Maybe some decoy routes w/dumpoffs, play-action, rollouts, some novelty stuff here,i know ...MAYBE PROVIDE alternatives to 60-yd patterns so your QB doesn't need to serve lunch to the opposing D when they get there. How about some 3-step drops and quick hitters to help keep a pass rush honest?

I could go on and on but this guy is beyond salvage. Playoffs, SB or not, HE NEEDS TO GO - and quickly.

It's a mystery why he doesn't. The only thing that I can figure is that Arians has strings to the top that bypass Tomlin. In order to cut those strings Mike just might be letting Brucey fuck up and fuck up royally. Then he could set about fixing all of the offense's problems.

Anybody think MT has grown a pair lately to demand, yes DEMAND, an offensive scheme to keep rushers off of BR, or at least, slow them down? Screens, draws, dinks, etc. Instead we get reverses, bubble screens, relentless trap plays where "holding" seems to be part of the design. BR will be hurt by playoff time if we keep this silly nonsense up. The refs just ain't gonna call squat so why try to force their hands? - just outsmart them and not give them the chance to rub our noses in it.
Why not demand a quicker drop/release passing game? Geez, we have the speed from the young guys to get them in crossing patterns (ala Welker???) behind the backers. Unfortunately, these stone-headed coaches don't seem to get it or don't want to:
"The standards don't change no matter who we play or who is in there."
"There is NO FB in MY offense."
We'll keep running where we hold the most until we learn not to hold.

That's right, Bruce you ARE an OFFENSE.
Anyone have numbers on Redman's 3rd down conversion rate? Has to be over 75%.
If it's that good, we ALL know he'll sit on the bench.

Gosh, wouldn't you love to see them use some of those game plans from the last SB run? We had "D's" so confused and on the ropes early so that 2nd half was just using the clock.

How bout this Mensa Clinic

Roethlisberger - "B.A. and I talked about it a little bit the other day," Roethlisberger said. "I think we both had the same mindset; you get down there and it's 'how can we score on this play?' "

Instead of trying to get it all on first down, they plan to take a different approach.

"We're trying to take the mentality of not trying to score every time,"
