Steelers Sign Punter Kapinos

Postby Steelers76 » Wed Dec 08, 2010 1:25 am

The Steelers signed Punter Jeremy Kapinos to replace injured P Daniel Sepulveda, who is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee. Kapinos was with Green Bay last season, where he averaged just under 44 yards a punt on 66 attempts. As long as it's not Mitch Berger or Paul Ernster, I'm fine with this replacement. Thoughts?

According to James Walker from ESPN, there was actually a try-out which did not involve Mitch "The Master of the 35-yard no hang time punt" Berger. Colbert's really earning his pay this week (sarcasm intended).

As a PSU Alumni, I'm glad to have Kapinos on the team. Hope he does well.

Kappy for Seppy. Packers brother-in-law of mine liked this guy and wasn't sure why he was even cut.

If your special teams didn't suck so bad that you have to rely on your punter to make half the tackles....In my lifetime I don't know if I've ever seen us have a good punt team.
