In one of the most lopsided and fastest deliberations this august Committee has ever conducted, BenRoth was confirmed the Hard Hat winner after about 16 seconds of discussion.
Great call Mill - Ben truely deserved recognized for his toughness after this game!!!!!!!!!!

the kid is tuff, t-u-f-f, tuff. I am a bit displeased with the national media finally annointing him as a tough qb from Sunday night but portraying his previous history as a prima-donna. Where did they get that? The dude was playing weeks after a motorcyle accident, weeks after meniscus surgery, weeks after an apendectomy (he wanted to play right away), and has never over-emphasized a knee injury or any injury for that matter on the sideline. Heck, I think he hides more injuries than we know about (the thumb?). Maybe Big Ben adding that he could have died from a lacerated artery in his mouth was a bit much but I'll give him that - head trauma alone could have killed him. They play up the Baltimore concussion incident from years before like he routinely sits games out.

If I had a committee vote, I'd put in for an honorable mention to suisham, who kicked well, and took on the punting chores short notice and did quite well if you ask me.

Indeed, if you noticed, Suisham was fully mentioned as receiving consideration.

I did notice. Was trying to make the point that something above "recieving consideration" and the actual award was due. I mean, a few weeks ago the guy was flipping burgers, now he's making big kicks and taking on extracurricular duties.
Was it just me, or did he do a better job of inside the 20 placement than our vaunted 4th round pick Sepulveda?
