Hit on Miller........What if...
It's more than obvious Herr Goodel and his SS are out to get us. NO ONE (in their right mind...) can deny this. But something about the Miller hit struck me as very 'Odd". We have seen the clips where the Line Judge is looking DIRECTLY at the incident as it happened and did nothing. Even that Cincinnati Bumfukk in the booth stood up for us (While his partner, tried to 'technically' explain the hit and how it wasn't intentional, Bleh, bleb bleb and that's why there wasn't a flag...) The Refs know that there are broadcast cams watching the plays and something like this was certain to get shown (and recorded.) They are aware of the national outcry over the current officiating situation in the NFL with regards to hits, fines and the like. He HAD to be aware that the camera was on him...or was he? There is no way, knowing they are being watched that they could 'overlook' something this blatant.
By NOT throwing the flag on something this blatant, could he have been following orders to send a 'message' to all those watching in Steeler Land and beyond? It was only later, after even Collinsworth commented on it and aroused the entire watching public that the "Head of Officiating" reported back that they "Made a mistake." Was the 'Over site' just so obvious that the NFL couldn't just "shoo' it under the rug and move on to other things? Did the officials and their NFL Masters find themselves with just no where to go and they HAD to give in? For all intents and purposes, it looked to me like they fully intended to do nothing and the world be damned. What if some big play was taking place at the other end of the field and the cameras wouldn't have been in position to get that hit? What if there was no broadcast record to go back to and it came down to an us vs. them situation?
I firmly believe that if that hit had NOT been broadcast, absolutely NOTHING would have been said or done and the NFL would have denied everything. What say you?

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it make a sound? I guess this the same as your post. the fact is some one did see the hit. Would the NFL and Goodell like to pretend it did not happen and move on? Yes! I am still pissed over the Hines hit that was never flagged, fined or addressed. Why?
