So Ziggy has been getting plenty of PT with all our injury woes at DE... and he has done nuthin.

It was especially apparent in the Pats game. He never disengaged a blocker... got zero pressure and basically put all the pressure on a LBs.

He s had time to develop and adapt to the NFL and the defensive system... is he a 1st round bust??

It s really looking like it to me.

Yep - he sucks.

Total waste of a pick. There's no need to take a 3-4 DE in the first round not named Seymor. Maybe he's being groomed for Nose Tackle someday, but I don't see how he would be any better there.

Yeah - and here's a list of guys drafted right after Hood who are now starters around the NFL: Loadholt, Chung, J.Byrd, Laurenaitis, Maualuga, Delmas, Everett Brown, Sherrod Martin.

I didn't like the pick when they made it, & I still hate it.

I friggin hate 1st rd pix spent on D lineman unless they're monsters, like Suh or Bruce Smith.

Think Safeties Byrd (9 Int last yr) or Delmas would've been an upgrade from one-hit pony Ryan Clark????

Or how about Loadholt on this piece-of-shit O-line??

Although I don't like him as a 1st rounder, I wouldn't say he's a bust. Also, it's unfair to compare him to others from his class who's teams give them more opportunities. I think he has for the most part held his own and played pretty well against the Raiders. Let's give it a couple more weeks then re-evaluate.
