God Bless Dick LeBeau
No, he's not perfect. But this post is to offer some balance to the hateful nonsense spewed on this site.
Is he soft? I dunno, let's ask Chris Johnson.
Folks, this is the NFL, not Madden 11. We can't win every game or shut down every aspect of every offense.
Dick clearly prioritizes stopping the run. God Bless him. That's Steeler football.
Is he old? I dunno, ask his players if he can relate. His schemes are innovative and still cutting edge.
And his results? Awesome to watch

Yes, read what Bryant McFadden had to say:
McFadden kept White out of the end zone.
"It's very hard for a team to drive like that. Those plays are not going to beat us," said McFadden, who recorded a career-high 14 tackles against Atlanta. "Most offenses don't want to be nickel and diming all the time. If we can keep everything in front of us and punish them and make tackles, that's what we're going to do.
"A lot of people read into it the wrong way. People watching from the couch really don't understand football. They think it wasn't a good job. But on our end, we did what (defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau) wanted us to do."
Gay, who is becoming a fixture at nickel back when he isn't filling in at cornerback, agreed with McFadden's analysis that the secondary was following orders by playing soft coverage against the Falcons.
"It's tough to run 10-yard outs the whole game and win," said Gay, who will start against Tennessee if McFadden doesn't play. "We tried to erase the big plays. No passes over 25 yards. Coach LeBeau teaches that."
His players believe in him............What makes you think they would believe in you? (all of his critics)

When your playing lights out all day and then you go to give them everything less than 25 yards it only makes sense if your playing for the point spread.
Re: God Bless Dick LeBeau
What I found interesting is the fact that if Reed would have made the easy FG at the end of the game, LeBeau's inverted cover two playcall to give Troy the clean pick right in front of Roddy "Ballhawk" White would have been held to a much higher regard.

By then it was a two score game lead and little time left on the clock. The only way to lose the game was with a quick score so it only makes sense to keep everything short, make them run more plays to kill more time. And, it worked...Stillers "W".
