99's reign should be done

Postby steelblood14 » Sun Sep 19, 2010 9:43 am

i think its time that the diesel be parked in the garage and lets see what ziggy can do. brett has done nothing to impress me since his unwarranted contract extension at the beginning of last season. i sometimes think this organization is still hanging onto the fact he had one good game in the afccg in 05!! we drafter hood for DE, FUCKING PLAY HIM. he has a better motor, pedigree and desire to abuse the opponent qb's...and besides, its time to start gettting younger on the d-line

Only problem with that is Hood has looked like ass at DE. He seemed ok at NT last week.

As said above, he hasn't outplayed Keisel. It's that simple. Right now Ziggy's good to give the starters a breather and that's about it.

I have no idea where you are getting this. He always performs at a high level, and he had a great preseason.

I guess you are calling for Nick Eason then. Hood certainly can't fit the bill.

Keisel is playing just fine. Defensive ends in the Stillers 3-4 don't get noticed all that much. While he hasn't done anything to stand out yet this season, he will soon. Aaron Smith doesn't have flashy stats either, but with the way the team is stuffing the run - especially against the most dangerous running back in the league this past week and without Casey Hampton - I'd say Brett is doing just fine.

The only time he looked bad was when he was in the flat alone with, I believe, Jerious Norwood, one of the fastest men in the NFL, who made Brett look stupid with a juke. However, that's excusable because I don't expect a 300 pound lineman who's in the trenches most plays to break down and tackle a gazelle in the open field.
