Ben to the principals office
How's this meeting going to go down?
How about, "hey commish, how come Shaun Rogers got nothing from you and he actually got convicted?"
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger plans to ask NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to reduce his six-game suspension by at least three games when the two meet Friday, Sept. 3, reports ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, according to sources. Some in the Roethlisberger camp feel the six-game suspension was too harsh because Roethlisberger was the first player suspended by Goodell who had not been arrested, charged or convicted of a crime. However, some in the camp don't want to anger the commissioner by asking for too much. Team president Arthur Rooney II will also join Roethlisberger for the meeting. Most believe Goodell has planned to lower the suspension to four games all along.

Apparently punching someone on camera in a titty bar also warrants no suspension.

Nor is punching a bouncer and spitting blood on him (Benson). Roethlisberger's suspension was due to a "string" of poor decisions - even though we know the McNulty case seemed entirely a hoax based on her email records. What string was goodell thinking about. I am a little surprised he is asking for 3 games instead of 4. That should not have slipped before he met with Goodell - no chance it would happen now.

Not to be some sort of vulture, but has the tought crossed anyone else's mind that Lefty's injury may tend to make Goodell lean toward shortening Ben's suspension.

Indianapolis Colts DT Fili Moala was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication and speeding, reports Mike Chappell, of The Indianapolis Star. He had a blood alcohol level of .10, and the legal limit is .08.
