Essex got owned on that sack.
I'd like to see what Hartwig can do at RG.

After his 2nd pick, is there anyone else that hasn't seen enough of Dixon??

I don't know if Dixon could play much worse...Leftwich is a solid QB who can do what we need him to do, take care of the ball and manage the game, make a throw or two when we need him.

And to Josh McDaniel, don't get too pumped about your D abusing a QB who is the fourth best QB on our roster at this point (yes behind Batch)

Sanders let himself get the football equivalent of boxed out. Ouch. It looked like he actually got a hand on the ball too. I'd blame that one more on Sanders, but overall Dixon has solidified nothing more than 3rd string status.

McDaniels ought to get Tebow in the game in as a multipurpose back, otherwise sitting on the bench he'll become known as the White Shadow.

He just can't seem to settle down to make the reads quickly enough to make a good decision. Yep, Lefty is our man.

:suplusone:
I'd keep Batch over Dixon as our #3.

agree, but Dixon is alo floating that ball that the 2nd pick came on.
Had the same throw tipped by the DB earlier.
He isn't getting the ball there quick enough and it looks like the 1st read. I think it's the velocity he throws with. (I don't want to say arm strenght, especially on anight that brady quinn is on the field, but Dixon doesn't throw it hard enough.)

I like Ike on the blitzes also.

Timmons is the man tonight. Dennis Dixon looks shook. Gotta say though, the play calling is fucking horrible. They been timing that turn out all FN night long so I blam Arians as well

From left to right: Starks - adequate protection but can get tooled against the top shelf guys. Kemo - He's improved a lot but doesn't show flashes of brilliance enough to consider him a great guard. Pouncey - Playing with surprising poise and so far looks like our team's best offensive lineman already. In time he will make defending players beg to let him fuck their wives to make the pain stop. Essex - Putrid. Worse than Kendall Simmons after the 2004 extension. He makes old broken down Faneca look like a 300 pound Jesus Christ in pads. Flozell the Hotel - I do think he's better than Colon already, which doesn't take much but still he hasn't made my cardiovascular system explode the way Colon did.

On another good note: Willie Gay made a great move for a great interception. I'm shocked. On another poor note: Lewis was basically handled and tooled on every play in his direction. And his penalties...ugh.

So basicly we have Ike and a couple of guys who are good nickle backs, but not starters.

All the more reason to junk last season's offensive philosophy and run a BALANCED offense. Yes, I shouted "balanced." We are capable of running a solid backfield by committee, even with the exceedingly average o-line. And hey, even if you want to get a little passhappy, nickel and dime it to death if you want to. We have the receivers and one of the game's best tight ends. In '08 the D stepped up when we had our entire backfield hurt and the o line was even worse. It's time for the O to do the same.

Poor Dwyer. Like he's going to look any good when the Defense has no fear of Dixon throwing on 1st or 2nd down.

Flozell looked pretty good giving Dixon time to run for his life. DD's got heart, I'll give him that. The problem is he sucks. As mentioned in this thread there's no velocity on the ball. It was Ward's presence of mind to catch that wounded duck and keep it out of Denver's hands.
