Number 3 Reciever

Postby TheStillerWay86 » Sun Mar 14, 2010 2:27 pm

How do you think we can settle between El and Mike for our #3 next year? IMHO i think 17 exceeded all expectations and had a better year than the nest year Washington or El ever had. Really we should just start 3 wide, move Hines into the slot and tone and wally outside.

I expect Hines Ward to start games split out wide like he has for so many seasons. However, Holmes maybe the player to see the most time at No.1, while Wallace mans the vacated No.2, and Ward and El :celebrate: compete for time in the slot. It would still be nice to find a big bodied receiver from somewhere to throw in the mix as well :suxfingers: .

I don't know if wallace is ready to take the #2 spot from hines yet. His talent level is phenomenal but there were times he screwed up routes. Then again, he showed flashes of greatness. However, hines is an excellent route runner and possession WR, hard to take someone like him off the field.

not to mention i always get a boner when he trucks some defenders on blocks

but who knows, if wallace is the guy and earns his spot, give it to him. I always supported the 'changing of the guard' thing, but man.. the day hines ward has to retire is going to be a real sad day for me.

I can see Wallace, and Randle El splitting time at #3 WR... It's nice to have depth like we do at that spot... Now let's see if Dumbfuck Arians can pull a wild hair out of his ass, and use these weapons properly this year...

I, too, agree though. I always liked El, not his complaining to refs for every missed catch as pass-interference or his after catch antics, BUT as a 3rd or 4th guy, yes he SHOULD be dangerous.

YOU KNOW THIS, I KNOW THIS AND HALF OF AMERICA KNOWS THIS AS WELL AS THE FREAKIN' BALKAN ISLANDS, it's our idiot OC is the one who doesn't know this and he won't get any help from his HC on this either.

Yes, we need a big receiver now but thse 4: Hines, Holmes, Wallace and El should, I SAY "SHOULD", create so many opportunities. But we all know they won't.
