Dennis Dixon to be the #2 QB
http://blog.oregonlive.com/ducks/2010/0 ... rench.html
Big Ben will be back next year and given his list of off-field issues and concussions, nobody needs a quality backup more than the Steelers. They appear to be happy with soon-to-be third year quarterback Dennis Dixon.
Dixon's performance on a Sunday night when Roethlisberger was out proved he is capable of leading his team for stretches while the starter is out. His contract is also very likeable for a team like the Steelers. They get a guy who can get them through a short time while the starter is out without having to overpay. Dixon's contract is up after this year though, and if he has more good showings, that price is likely to change.
Charlie Batch is likely to be re-signed and will likely be the third-string quarterback behind Dixon.
