We are sitting on the fence!
I might be making light of Bens recent predicament but deep inside I'm nervous as hell. Steeler Nation is sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for information to come out clearing Ben and saying this was all a big misunderstanding. Do you realize however that it could just as easily go the other way where ben is charged and even convicted. What would this do to our franchise? I was expecting another couple of super bowl rings out of ben. This could be all down the drain. As a celtic fan , I remember back in the 80's when they drafted Len Bias, a stud and two days later he was dead. It put the celtic franchise back 10 years or more. We could end up going back to being like the steelers of the 80's, average at best. All in all this whole episode with ben sucks. I think the term "big ben" must of went to his head. Just my 2 cents.
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!

Well, maybe, just maybe, we'll begin to see "moral clauses" in these contracts for these braindead morons. Yeah, and I'm the King of England.
This is what I just don't get about this team. We let our draftees sit on the damn bench forever until an emergency happens then all of the sudden, we EXPECT them to play like starters when we don't even know it they CAN play. "The standard doesn't drop off just because the starter went down." Can Keenan Lewis play? Never found out when we had the chance, did we?
Referring to Sweed's lapses in playoffs, henever got PT during season to build the onfidence. Dixon -I love the guy's athleticism - but hasn't really been tested. Performed quite well when given the keys against major rival with a big-time D. Never saw him again after that. Why th %^&$ was that?
Must do HIS confidence wonders. 2-3 series per game every other week? Too much to ask?
He'd won that Balt. game but our DC kept a slow-footed vet in to cover speedy young backs, and well,... we all know how THAT worked out!
Now we're "panicked" because our horny QB, who thinks he's runing for "frat-house clown posse president", might get put up at the County Bighouse at our expense. Can Dixon do it? Can he hold up? Can he read D's? A little late to worry now, ya think? Maybe we should have used him a little more frequently to get some PT to findout. Sorry, no sympathy here - for Ben or the organization, at this point. Love the Steelers but we'll never learn our lessons .

Clarioncall, well said. Feel the same way myself and posted many times why we don't give these guys an opportunity once in a while. Wallace is a find! Surprised he got the PT he did. If Sweed had that much his rookie year, I guarantee you things would be different for him today but we'll never know.
Personally, I don't think it looks good for BB. His lawyer hired a PI (standard MO I am sure) to look into girl's background. A smear campaign in the works? Nice. We'll see, but I STILL can't get past his stupidity, the idiotic T-shirt, and paying bodyguards to guard the henhouse while the fox is INSIDE. Why not wear a hat that says: "Instant A-hole, just add alchohol"
Geez, this is sooooo dumb to be having these conversations.
