Wait for all the facts.

Postby lloydgreene » Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:02 pm

Let the truth come out. It will in time.

If BB comitted sexual assault on this girl, he needs to be punished for it. If the girl is just looking for a scandal or a payday, she should be punished.

Either way, a 28 year old Frachise QB worth millions of dollars needs to stop running around like a damn frat boy. He needs to grow up. Major questions of character are valid when these situations keep popping up. A pattern might be revealing itself here.

Again, the facts are not all in yet. But still BB has gone from a good Christian type role model in his rookie year to someone who hangs his dick out in a bar looking for action. How disappointing.

I'm definitely reserving judgment until full disclosure. I am starting to become concerned though that Big Ben = Mickey Mantle. I'm 26 so obviously I didn't see The Mick play, but I do know the story. Mantle was a player who had the kind of talents and abilities that even other professionals would trade their right arm for. Mickey Mantle was maybe the best baseball player of all-time, but his fans and even he himself know he could have been better. The Mick never ran up against anything on the field he couldn't do, but off the field he had bad habits, and inevitably fell short on all his potential. I would hate to see Big Ben @ 35 after winning 2+ Super Bowls, rich, over weight, un-employed, and depressed. Roethlisberger has a chance with one or two more championships to go down as the best ever at his position, and it is not even close IMO. I hope he doesn't tarnish/deep 6 his on-field legacy with some bad moves. For his sake, and for our sake as Steelers fans.

I sure don't trust that dumb bitch though. If she is gonna act like a slut, then she should expect to be treated like one. Lets not get our wigs twisted here. Everything was consensual in the Bryant case until it was time to make good on all the foreplay, right :?: . WTF? Kobe was caught for adultery, but he didn't do anything to be prosecuted for. If that skank was chewin' on my cock I'd knock that ho's teeth out; do us both a favor  :D ...Dumb bitch.

The Duke LaCrosse Rape Case and The Atlanta Park Bomber/Richard Jewel Case are prime examples of why we shouldn't rush to judgement-either way.

The Skank in the Duke case was a street whore with six different DNA profiles that were swabbed from her vaginal canal none of which belonged to the Lacrosse team members. Ben stole the virtue of a young innocent co-ed. Not in the same ballpark.....Not in the same league....not even the same sport...READ THE PAPERS HE WAS SERVED WITH IN THE MCNULTY CASE..Trust me he's in deep shit now.

____________

from ProFootballTalk.com:

Art Rooney II addresses Roethlisberger situation

As investigators in Georgia prepare to release new information regarding the investigation of sexual assault charges made against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers president Art Rooney II has addressed the matter.

"All of us in the Steelers family are concerned about the recent incident involving Ben Roethlisberger in Georgia," Rooney said. "We cannot comment on any of the specifics until law enforcement's investigation is concluded. Certainly, we will continue to closely monitor the situation."

The message is a bit stronger than the usual "we do not comment on pending legal matters," and it makes us wonder whether the Steelers are beginning to tire of Roethlisberger's antics.

Meanwhile, we can't help but wonder whether the team or the league might take swift and decisive action if Roethlisberger ultimately is indicted on sexual assault charges. The indefinite suspension of quarterback Mike Vick occurred not when he pleaded guilty to dogfighting charges, but when he was indicted on federal conspiracy charges relating to gambling and dogfighting.

Either way, there's a chance that the filing of charges against Roethlisberger could have a much more significant impact on his career than anyone currently realizes. And that's why attorney Ed Garland will be doing everything he can to keep Roethlisberger from being charged.

Do you know the accuser, and/or were you there when the alleged incident took place? If not, then what basis do you have to say she was "a young and innocent co-ed", other than your hoping this is true and Big Ben goes to prison, thus increasing your shitty bungles chances of winning a playoff game for the first time in nearly 2 fucking decades?

So you're equating a complaint to a judgment? Do you really think that any complaint is going to look at a respondent in a positive light? Last time I checked the plaintiff doesn't get a pass as to the allegations without supporting evidence. The place you get to put forth your evidence is called a trial. That is also the place that you have an opportunity to refute evidence. At the conclusion of said trial there's a decision. Once the decision is rendered I believe we can put all of the matters into context. Hopefully this serves to help educate you in the legal process within our court system. I do believe you can disparage his judgment however.

I have worked in the judicial system for more than 20 years reading affidavit of complaints. If you know the proper channels to go through you can get copies. I can call the county clerks office of bumbfuck county in any blah blah state and ask for copies to be faxed to me as I am Joe Blow representing Ben Rothemberger in said offense. They are (in a way) public record.

In probably about half of the counties around the country, if you sign up for a service you can get them online unless a Judge seals them. It's not that you can get them, it's that the content doesn't mean jack until you present evidence. I can call you all kinds of unsavory things, but until I present evidence it's all so much smoke.

The thing with Mantle was he didn't expect to live as long as he did. The men in his family had a history of dying young. So he decided to live every day like it was his last. That was Mantle's reasoning for living the way he did.
So what's Ben's reason for living the way he does? Or should I say doing what he does? If he has a problem getting laid then hire a prostitute.

Ben is toxic right now. How does he go into the huddle looking at 10 other guys and keep his credibility. Think the guys will think Ben has studied up on the game plan last night or partied his butt off?

Let's face it. He is out of shape, slower than concrete, and fortunate not to be totally destroyed by the pounding. Looking back, I agree with the assessments that it is NOT all the OL's fault. Ben is out of shape and can't run. A satan T-Shirt on a 28-year old "pro"? Puh -freakin' - lease.

Grow up and get out of the frat house. Spent some time taking care of yourself and do what a leader does...lead by example. I was jazzed when he was drafted and he said all the right stuff: "I want to study, I want to be the man, I want to lead this team..." yada, yada, yada. Maybe Whiz knew something all along and that was Ben's true character. I understand they never really got along. Instead, this caucaission Clydesdale buddies-up with Arians? What's THAT tell you about Ben's judgement. Yeah, he's won for us, but do we need this stuff NOW? Where there's smoke, there's fire. Not wanting to paint him guilty until evidence is heard BUT, 2 times appears to be a trend. Something just ain't quite right.

Agree with mckee. Something's not right here. Other than Pacman Jones, who's had more accusations in last 2 years?
Whether true or not, something is not passing the smell test. Sure, he could be a target with big money belt and an arrogant swagger. (Anyone know of an incident at 7-Springs where Ben destroyed a snowmobile rented to him by owner and he just walked away, no apology or compensation? A few other similar issues?)

All the more reason to carry one's self as deserving of pofessional character. Not asking for much here. Even Ken Stabler didn't get this much wrongful attention and he was out in the open as a partier.

Let's be honest here, he hscharacter issues.
