The fact that the gal gave Ben's exact rookie height and weight bothers me. Here's what I've come up with. Once she and/or her cronies found out who Ben is someone looked him up on the internet. Then and only then did they learn of the sexual assault case lurking in his past. That's when she realized the possibility of raking in a lotta cash merely by accusing the guy of sexual assault. Her strategy then became to pursue the criminal accusations first merely to get the information collected and recorded. Then to go down the civil path, all the while hoping for an out of court settlement. Her risk is zero because historically nothing happens to women who lie and attempt to pull this sort of thing off and fail. They're never prosecuted for their mischief.

Agreed. Unless she was an athlete herself, it has been my experience that women are not good at judging weight. However, being in a guarded bathroom with a 20 year old (who shouldn't even have been in the bar in the first place) bothers me too. It stinks both ways. I know this is the minority opinion but I see him as a red blooded all American boy. Some say that the fact that he has a prior incident and now another makes him stupid. I say he has a prior incident of which he was completely innocent and since he sees himself that way he has no legitimate reason to alter his behaviour. This latest "victim" sees his prior incident as a reason and an opportunity to prey on him for her own personal gain. The idea to do so didn't occur to her until she or her friends looked up information about him. That's where she learned about his physical height and weight, to the exact numbers, and which she quoted to the police. She and they failed to note that those numbers coincided with when he was a rookie.

Why is the big dumb ass putting himself in this position? Somehow other superstar athletes manage to avoid two sexual assault charges! It is complicated in law to introduce the civil case against him in a criminal case, but the lawyers will manage to get that idea into the jury's heads. I forgot to add in the last post that a case like this is incredibly tasty to some local prosecutor with political ambitions. Nothing could be sweeter than to get one of these. He will talk the girl out of dropping charges just to get his or her name in lights. Ben better hope that the prosecutor is some old fart at the end of his career--a young ambitious attorney sees this one as his ticket to the big time. And like I said it is a winner for them-- they have home field advantage like a mother. A jury is going to have zero sympathy for big old dumbass Number Seven. I wonder how this will play in his other trial-- stupid shit better settle that one for whatever the girl is asking pronto. I do wonder about him-- it is very possible that when he drinks he gets aggressive. You can only say that some bimbo is trying to nail him for money so many times and this girl went straight to the police.
