Ouch this hurts....

Postby LambertoCincoOcho » Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:01 pm

I have broke down the team needs of the Clubs drafting ahead of the Stillers. Seattle and San Fran each have two selections ahead of the Stillers. Seattle owns picks 6 and 14 while San Fran owns 13 and 17. Coincidentally, their team needs are practically identical to ours. :supissed:

Not, exactly Seattle needs to draft RB early and they also need an heir-apparent to Hasselbeck. Seneca Wallace is servicable but appears content to be a career backup. San Fran does not need help at the ILB spot like we do, and they actually need more help on the OL than we do. There will be a good player at 18. This is a very deep draft, especially OL, RB, and DL.

I like Weatherspoon at 1.18 after reading today's article in the Post-Gazette and watching him at the combine on the NFL Network.

I like the CB Wilson or the Safety E.Thomas ahead of Weatherspoon.

Face it, they're gonna keep Farrior around at least 2 more yrs & Weatherspoon would just bench-rot like all of Lebeau's shut-up-and-sit-down defensive rookies.

There should be a kings-ransom left of both D&O lineman left when we pick at 18 too.

Theyre talking about Weatherspoon but the Stillers are notorious for puting up a smoke screen when it comes to their #1 draft pick...I remember when they picked Hampton from UT...Their scouts were paying all this attention to Leonard Davis when all along they had Casey in their sights.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that Farrior rips a hammy or ruptures an achilles during camp...He has no business being a starter after his pathetic 2009 season performance.
