I personally think they should put a football team in Detroit.

Settle the labor issues before you even think about expansion.

Re: NFL Expansion?
The NFL has agreed that there is no room for expansion. They have teams in small markets now that are not very viable. More likely, 1 or 2 teams will relocate. The NFL would love to put a team in Toronto. Maybe the Jags will move. At least they would draw more than 10,000 per game

L. A. will have a team sooner or later. Maybe the Jags move there? But I see two more teams in the next 5 years or so, Toronto for one although that could be the Bills but what about another Texas team San Antonio? Los Vegas, NV is another area that will need to be addressed. Other possibilities are international, like Mexico City.

Mexico City basically is clairton.. How about a LA team? I don't know but seeing how im in Texas people may push for a Austin or San Antone based team.

Austin has the UT Longhorns. No organization is going to vault them as the cities team. Doesn't seem like a wise move to have a professional tackle football franchise take a backseat to a college program. At least to me it doesn't.

It's already happening. Look at the Jags. That's always been U of F territory. Those fans are hard-core college ball. This is a big reason for the low turnouts on Sunday. Unless the team is playoff/SB bound, no one down there cares...

Re: NFL Expansion?
Every time I turn around Goodell seems to be pointing to international expansion. Horrible business decision but after hearing his lecture that compared the NFL to the music industry I realize he doesn't understand what he is talking about.
Please no more expansion - 32 teams is a boatload. A boat being shipped to London, England.

Las Vegas will never have a real pro sports team. There simply aren't enough people living there. Vegas is very small and all those tourists wouldn't be enough to support a team. Very few people are actually from Las Vegas so building loyalty would also be a problem. That's all besides the temptations most young kids with money could not avoid.

Pitt= 310,000
Vegas = 550,000
The Steelers will only be as successful as Big Ben is!

The one city that should have their own team is Richmond, Virginia. I know that the foreskins are in D.C. but they also have the Balto Raisinz and the Beagles up in Philly in close proximity so that is not an argument. If any city should get a team, it should be Richmond Va.

Nice Meaningless stat Ballhair. The Metro area of Pittsburgh has 2+ million last I checked not to mention the other several million in Western PA. The physical city limits of Pittsburgh is quite small.
Vegas on the other hand has no real Metro area except for Green Valley and maybe the Boulder City/Lake Mead area.
Once outside these areas there's nothing but desert.
Compared to the Pittsburgh area, Vegas is tiny.

Richmond can't even support a minor league baseball team - the city pulled in some sucker after the Braves pulled out.
