FAT CASEY WHINING

Postby stillgrill » Thu Feb 04, 2010 12:13 pm

Here's part-time player the Big Jack (as in "I ain't doin' jack") Hampton whining about the franchise tag.

According to the USAToday NFL salary database, this fat bastard has made $30mill in total salary from the Stillers since "01.

What a ungrateful fuck.

Will someone please tell me I'm not the only one saying they SHOULD franchise his larda$$???

I expect the Stiller's FO to make him a reasonable 2 year offer. If he refuses, they will let him walk and draft his replacement with the # 18 spot. He is not the force he once was in the middle. Signing him to a modest deal would let him retire a Stiller while allowing them to groom his eventual replacement over the next 2 seasons. Franchising him makes no sense. This is just preening and posturing on his part. Remember, Ray Lewis was supposed to get a huge contract offer from the Cowboys and he would not play for the Ravens again. We all know how that worked out for Ray-Ray. Fat Casey just wants to make himself look good in the eyes of the media.

Steelers are still one of the dominant run stopping defenses in the NFL and Hampton has something to do with that. Franchise player seems a bit extreme but after Starks assignment to this moniker all has gone to hell.

I agree. And under normal circumstances, this is one of those situations where something could be worked out.

But I bet he's gonna want like a 4-5 year deal and the team will want like 2-3.
